Very easy install and looks great

Fit my truck perfectly. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. Have had this for over a year now, and seems to be holding up great. I got this to help protect my hood and windshield from rocks and bugs, seems to help out very well.

This is a great product..looks good, works great. But even better is the customer service provided by LUND | AVS. I lost one of the install clips and called them to see if I could get a replacement, they took my info and within a few days I got my part in the mail. Great customer service...

I have installed and been a fan of AVS shields and visors for over twenty years. Having installed them on somewhere around 30 vehicles I have come to appreciate the quality, ease of installation, and durability of AVS products. That being said this hood shield was not the simple easy installation that I have become accustom to. Don't get me wrong its not that it required a lot of work, its just it was hard to center and get straight along the hood. Previous shields used existing holes under the hood that made aligning a breeze. This one uses 2 clips on outer edges and 1/2inch wide double sided tape along center to secure it, I am guessing because of hood clearance issues. Keeping the clips engaged while pulling tape backing and trying to align the center of shield really does require 2 or more people for the best result. Once stuck the double sided tape does not allow for any easy adjusting so best to go slow and get it right the first time. Once on it does feel secure but I am still uncertain as to how the clipped ends and the shield itself will handle a car wash. Guess we will find out. Even after taking great care and patience to install as even with the hood as possible I notice that the top of the shield has a bow to it that from the drivers seat makes the shield look crooked albeit only about 1/4 inch or so. It does offer decent protection of the hoods leading edge as well as the fenders over the lights and has rubber bumpers to protect against something impacting the shield out on the edges. The smoke color looks good on the white truck. Would have been nice if they included a couple of clips that used existing hood holes even if only for installation.

Got a new truck and got tired of painting chips on the hood so got this thing. Seemed a lot of them for my 2018 Sierra were like this system with the 3M tape so I figured why not. They tell you to line it up but by the time I got the 3M tape pulled back and everything I realized I should of painters taped a center mark on my hood and one one the deflector itself so I didn’t have to worry about centering it (which mine ended off center a half inch or so). Another thing are the clips. There’s next to no wiggle on them at the moment but I’ll continue to watch it some I’m not concerned about my paint (can’t be worse than continuous pings and chips) but getting the protective tape to angle correctly to cover the entirety of the clip can be trial and error since mine liked to walk while doing my fitment. I was between this and the weathertech one (regular or low profile) and if I were to do it over again I would probably just go that route. I love the AVS products and have others on my trucks but I was not thrilled about this one as I have been for my previous purchases, and I can’t say I would recommend it over other options out there.

Easy to install and dresses up my truck's appearance. I am very satisfied with this product.

Iteam came quick and in great shape, but doesn't fit perfectly. Will definitely be buying a proper one possibly next year. This one just doesn't fit snug and looks like it will fly off any minute. Also doesn't completely cover the hood lip. But for the price, it'll do for now. Thanks!

Great quality product from AVS missing parts though, but I bought it "used" for a little less. Called AVS they are sending free install kit no issues. Hope this helps!

Ajoute un beau look à mon GMC Sierra 1500, 2015. Protège assurément le capot contre les pierres ou insectes. Le matériau plastique semble de bonne qualité. Mais la fixation ne semble pas très solide, 2 petites clips aux extrémités du capot et seulement du ruban autocollant collé directement au milieu du capot. En plus le ruban était mal placé, il était collé par endroit en dehors de la zone où le contact doit avoir lieu avec le capot.
