5 Inches Caster Wheels

Don't throw away your old mounting bolts or screws. This set comes with a set of mounting bolts, nuts and washers, which would be fine for mounting them on a typical steel frame. But, I got them to replace the worn-out wheels on two heavy-duty plastic carts used in our school cafeteria, both of which made by different companies, used different mounting hardware. The old wheels had worn out after only 3 years of use. But, they were no more than a composite plastic wheel with no bearings mounted on a 3/8" bolt. These wheels have double ball bearings and can handle 3X the weight of those original ones, will probably last 10 years, and cost less than the makers want for those standard replacement wheels. On one unit attached by screws, these units matched the old holes perfectly, and the conversion took no more than 20 minutes. The other unit was more challenging. The old bolts were hard to take out. I had to drill one out. Then, the old mounting surfaces were recessed 1/4 inch, and I had to add a 1/4 inch plywood washer to enable these new wheels to rotate correctly. This is not to slam the product. The product itself is great, but you may face other issues in order to make them work for you.

Sona few months later. The wheels holding up great. Survived moving, blacktop, and concrete. Put them on bottom of my work bench with my own hardware. Wheels roll great across hard surfaces. Dont know about grass. My work bench is roughly 200lbs most days and has been over 1000lbs during moves and when it was fully loaded with tools. Moved easy still. The brakes are harder to apply...but Thats a good thing. The brakes have also never failed. Easy to take off.

Good price , Good quality Easy install and holds up well over the years. I have many of my power equipment on these wheels for easy movement in my shop . Brakes work well. Takes a lot of weight, Rolls easily and do not go flat on one side

Wheels are solid and what I was looking for. The supplied hardware wouldn’t work for my needs but I wish they had given a bolt head / bolt shank clearance dimension. I had to grind about a quarter inch off my fasteners to get them to fit. Otherwise great casters.

These casters are great. I used them on my old mechanics roll cart. It's an old cornwell 4 drawer with top storage area. The cart is fully loaded with all my oist used tools, so it has some weight to it. These casters bolted right up, and with the ball bearings, and 300 lbs capacity each, should last a while. It rolls so effortlessly, I actually have to lock the casters sometimes to keep it in place. If I bought a new cart, I'd probably replace the stock casters with these. Well worth it. Oh, and I'm only on a smooth shop floor. I'm not taking it in dirt, gravel or anything like that.

Used on a Seville cabinet with some minor modification. The included 8mm 1.25 bolts fit the cabinet inserts, and the mount plate holes lined up to fit two of the bolts. I cut, drilled and welded some pieces to the mount plate to use the existing nut inserts on the Seville cabinet. A dab of paint, a shot of grease and done. The locks on the casters seem to work well, and it's nice that they also prevent the casters from turning / steer wise. As a bonus, the 'Little Woman' likes the color.

These have got to be the best castors that I have ever used! They are so easy to maneuver and lock. I put these on a counter for our business. It measures 30”Wx72”L x 44”H. It is heavy. We have to transport it to different shows and events. These wheels are great. The locks work really well, and they roll very easy. Great buy!

These things are just great. Big, smooth-rolling. They go over door sills well. The work great for an improvised dolly on a heavy piece of equipment in the garage that I pull out, lock the wheels, use, unlock the wheels, then roll back into the garage. I have two devices I used these in that way for. Makes me happy each time I pull out the equipment.
