NO. IT IS A ADAPTOR FOR A USB CABLE.

new usb ms keyboard, old dell computer. green and black converters dont work. nothing does. wasting money on these. does color mean something?

i solved this problem once by updating the PS2 drivers on an old NT machine but it was not a trivial task. i suspect that it would be far simpler for you to just get a new PS2 keyboard. as you probably already know, this problem is just the tip of the iceberg for an old computer with no USB ports. time to find $400 for a modern machine.

Not really tech savvy, but does this work on the green and purple slot? Like, could I get to of these and use it for my mouse and keyboard spot?

Purple is for keyboards only........ And you'll have to be lucky. Over half the ones I tried did not work with this adapter at all. Funny thing is most of the different mice I had on hand worked fine with the green adapter... Again purple is only for keyboards
