Pacific Foods Organic Poblano Corn Chowder, 16.3 OZ

I really enjoy this soup and was surprised at how good it is. It has a lot of flavor, some spiciness, some thickness, and organic vegetables. I now buy from Pacific foods regularly.

Mildly spicy (not "hot") corn chowder. Not a liquid soup. It is creamy, thick and well.. a chowder. It is lovely on its own, but I prefer to add a hunk of bread to dip into it. Would also be nice poured over some rice or potatoes. Good mouth feel. Plenty of texture to feel like I am eating something. I can taste corn, poblano peppers, chili powder. I can taste cumin, which is part of chili powder. Overall has a depth of flavor and freshness I didnt expect from a canned product. Food comes down to preference. Cant take my 5 star review for it. You may love it, or may dislike it. I just like the occasional canned meal, and I prefer that it isnt a brothy liquid soup. I prefer a more full feeling, and so a creamy chunky soup is what I look for. This Chowder meets and exceeds those expectations. I also like when other foods can be added to it to further boost the volume. So if a can of this chowder is $2.71-3.19, and I want to feed 2 people, well I would need more than one can. BUT I can instead still use one can and enjoy the flavor by using it as a topper to rice, noodles, or potatoes, or with a big hunk of fresh baked bread or roll. I intended to take a pic, but I started shoveling this into my mouth and totally forgot. Maybe next can I eat I will remember to take a pic and share.

This soup is tasty, a little spice snd perfect for a scratchy throat. It's enough for two servings, so you can have it for breakfast and lunch. All you do is add a Hawaiian roll and you're good to go! Also, it's affordable and breaks up the monotony of having spaghetti o's every morning!

This is great tasting soup, when I’m feeling lazy, I just open a can pop on the stove , warm up a bolillo to dip in and baby you’ve got a great meal . On the cheap too !!

I very much like a good soup! Lately, I've been on a bit of a quest to find a canned soup that I can even tolerate. This is a lot more difficult than I would have expected. Poblano Pepper & Corn Chowder is a pleasantly surprising find! I cannot only tolerate it, but I enjoy it quite a bit! It has a perfectly balanced flavor profile. It has nicely balanced touches of sweetness, smokiness, and saltiness. Overall, the corn places it slightly on the sweeter end of the spectrum, but not by much. The peppers also add a nice hint of heat to the flavor as well. It has a nice hearty consistency with the potatoes adding a pleasant texture. Finally, it's nice to see a soup label that has simple, plain English ingredients. The fact that this soup is not only tasty, but also seems somewhat healthy, is a bonus. Too often, the ingredients in OTHER canned soups read more like a chemistry experiment than a recipe. I only wish I could give other offerings from Pacific Foods similarly high praise. While all are tolerable, and most light-years better than other vendors, none are as outstanding as this one. I have high hopes that Pacific Foods will offer more similarly well-balanced soups in the future. If they do, I promise to come back and write another glowing review for that product :)

Super delicious soup. I don’t usually eat canned soup, but its convenience appealed to me, and surprisingly, so did the taste. It tasted as good as homemade or high quality restaurant soup. I was so impressed that now I am exploring other soups by Pacific Foods.

I love this chowder. Heart and filling, I have it for dinner more than once a week. It’s a quick meal for a busy professional. I love that it’s organic as that is something I seek out. It’s so satisfying and more-ish!

Maybe I’m just spoiled, but this corn chowder seems a bit watery or lacking stew-like substance. The flavor is decent, but for the price three stars seems appropriate.
