We are super open and had already discussed some of this with our son as well as how babies are made etc. We have always answered questions as they come, as well as checking with him to see if he had any questions in our regular conversations. So a lot of this wasn't completely new to him. However it got through to him better than we could. When your mom and dad say it's important to put your deodorant on and shower everyday, kids probably feel like it's just another naggy thing parents want you to do. But when they read it in a book or a cool big brother figure tells them and even explains it (likely just as the parents had), it clicks in their brain. My son stopped fighting us on the daily shower after reading this and he is taking better care of his skin. I'm glad we purchased this one!
