I was just going to use the body tanner on my face too. But out of curiosity of what the difference was, I ordered it… And good thing I did!!The difference is definitely in the texture and amount of tint that each seems to have. The face gel looks more transparent than the body lotion, and goes on much smoother - not to mention it's much more forgiving when it comes to any smears that I may have created when applying it. Because of the semi-lighter tint of this stuff, I also use it on the backs of my hands (after doing the rest of my body and taking the gloves off), and it works great! So now I don't have awkward white hands while the rest of my body is tan anymore, yay! :) Oh yeah, and don't forget your ears like I did the first time around, haha! The best part about this stuff is that it works the first time you use it (I hate things that don't give me instant results), and IT'S NOT AN ORANGEY FAKE TINT! However, using a mouse formula is problematic. I am guessing that it was user error, since I have never used a mousse formula before; however, I prefer formulas with less possibility of user error.When I put it on, it soaked my mitt through by the first limb. I had to put a latex glove on to prevent my hand from getting stained. It also took a very long time to apply.In the end, my body was really streaked with the guide and I looked like I was streaked in mud. It took forever to dry and the smell was obnoxious.However, I am still giving it 4 stars because once I took a shower, the color was beautiful and perfectly even, despite the streaking during application.I only subtracted a star because it took awhile to dry and smelled so bad that I couldn't wait to shower when I woke up. You definitely can't put this on in the morning and shower it off at night.Two coats gave me a great color. About 5 days later, I shaved and applied conditioner to my body, which I exfoliated off with an exfoliating glove.
