The batteries compartment often just falls open on all of these I have purchased (and that is three different ones now) and I have had the batteries just falls out on the ground while I am going about my day. You can run the volume with your phone (when you can connect with it, as often you have to constantly reconnect with them because it can’t find these devices) and you can turn down the warning beeps, BUT NOT a the low/high beeps that is supposed to indicate low batteries. This MAX a volume beeping can go on for hours, leaving that ear in a bit of pain and lowering your ability to hear for a while.
