This was for use in the bedroom to watch movies on Plex, streamed from another Shield. Initially I used the remote from my first machine, which was fine, but since it's blue tooth, the remote will only control one machine at a time. You need to unregister it from one machine to then re-register with the other, what a faff. Was initially quite annoyed as second hand remotes are scarce and are actually dearer than this item. Since the description of this was in French (despite being on UK desertcart) and the relatively low price I was quite sceptical. But it is an original Nvidia remote, it does light up when moved, and controls the Shield perfectly. Only slight issue was that I had to setup the remote as a blue tooth accessory, not an original remote. But this could be because the Shield is an older 2017 model, so maybe later models have updated systems.
