You spray it on towel dried hair then style. What I love it is really does help your hair do the style you want and it holds it there but without touching your scalp (unless you spray it right onto your scalp). There is not glop as with gels. Unlike mousses it does not go on thick or coat the scalp. You just spray it where you want it and as much or as little as is needed. I do use hair spray afterwards on some occasions where I know I will be in the wind or when I want it to stay perfect such as for formal events. For everyday I do not use hairspray. This was recommended to me by my hair stylist. I thought the full retail price was expensive but I hardly use any so the bottle lasted me well over a year! Review: Liquid vinyl--a good thing! - Yes, this product works on my hair like liquid vinyl, which is especially useful here in humid Florida (I also have nearly waist length hair.) I am so pleased with this product that every squirt is worth the higher price. It combs out easily, and adding a dab of jojoba oil to the sprayed areas gives a light shine. I literally wept when a new bottle was confiscated by the TSA--my bad for not packing it in my prechecked bag. The TSA agent was empathetic when I told her how good the product is, but she wasn't moved enough to fish it out of the contraband bin. I'll never buy another brand of spray. I have other Enjoy products and they are amazing but this one is terrible. I did what the instructions told me to do and I couldn't even get the curler off of my hair because it stuck so bad. It was a big waste of money.
