Review: Get them early - This is the only thing I have found to eradicate nutgrass. If you use according to instructions and get on them when they first break the surface of the soil it takes them out in a day or two. It becomes less effective the longer you wait and the taller the weed gets.

**Q: Will this product kill horsetail weed?**
A: Horsetail weed is not listed on the Ortho label.  A better product is "Hi-Yield Nutsedge & Horsetail Control"

**Q: What is the coverage area?**
A: With this specific spray bottle product you are not spraying an area, but rather individual Nutsedge plants; therefore, there really isn't a "coverage area" answer that's applicable. If you want to treat large areas of your lawn, you probably need to get a concentrated product that connects to your garden hose.

**Q: Does this kill mushrooms?**
A: No it doesn't kill mushrooms

**Q: Will this kill tall fescue? would this product kill tall matured nutsedge that grew wildly in mid to late summer? thanks!**
A: It barely kills nutsedge but my nutsedge is among bedding plants so I don’t use it there after reading the label. It does however knock back fescue, wild violets, and chickweed at my house

AMAZING stuff. I bought a bottle of this stuff in the summer of 2024 and used it for the first time in July 2026. 72 hours after spraying, all of the nutsedge that I sprayed is brown and dead / dying. I'm no longer a sceptic.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Did the job

I sprayed this on nutsedge that was taking over part of my backyard. After about 2 days the nutsedge had turned brown and after about 4 days it was dead. It’s been about a week now and the nutsedge hasn’t returned but I saved half of the bottle of this product just in case I need to do a second treatment. This weed killer also took care of some different weeds in the vicinity. I like that this sprays easily with a hose attached but I’m deducting one star because sometimes it’s not clear from the nozzle switch if it’s in “water” mode or if it’s actually spraying the chemicals onto the lawn. I accidentally bumped the switch and didn’t realize until a few minutes later and the water may have diluted the weedkiller I had just sprayed down. But overall this is a great product and more effective than other weed treatments I’ve used on my lawn.
