These are very light weight and have a snap on cover. Two things I wanted. I would not want to cut a straight line for 10’ of anything. The handles are adequate for cutting through something or opening a difficult plastic theft proof package (excellent). I wouldn’t use them all day or for heavy duty cutting. They are with you when you need them. Light enough to pack along I tried the Knipex compact shears. That’s an excellent tool as well. These are better general purpose scissors. The fancy sheath was overkill, as the blades stay put when closed anyway, so I did away with it. I just filed slightly to smoothen the pointed tips so it won’t stab when touched. I also sanded to smoothen more the handles’ insides so it won’t rub sharply when in sustained use. The compact size was perfect for portability and comfortable enough for me to handle. Since it could cut even copper wires, twigs, and plastic tarps among others, I got an extra to keep in the car as survival/emergency tool.

I was looking for a pair of scissors to put in a laptop bag. I tried a few and I like these best for a general purpose pair of scissors. These are very light weight and have a snap on cover. Two things I wanted. I would not want to cut a straight line for 10’ of anything. The handles are adequate for cutting through something or opening a difficult plastic theft proof package (excellent). I wouldn’t use them all day or for heavy duty cutting. They are with you when you need them. Light enough to pack along I tried the Knipex compact shears. That’s an excellent tool as well. These are better general purpose scissors. Superb quality, sharp and effective, and built to last. The fancy sheath was overkill, as the blades stay put when closed anyway, so I did away with it. I just filed slightly to smoothen the pointed tips so it won’t stab when touched. I also sanded to smoothen more the handles’ insides so it won’t rub sharply when in sustained use. The compact size was perfect for portability and comfortable enough for me to handle. Since it could cut even copper wires, twigs, and plastic tarps among others, I got an extra to keep in the car as survival/emergency tool.

These are well bulky scissors. I’ll start with my gripe. The grip isn’t very comfortable for me. The hard plastic handles kinda dig in my hands. But, they cut. As all scissors depend on grip strength, each users experience will be unique to them. I did like I always do when I get new scissors, I went around the house cutting stuff with them. I didn’t photograph everything I cut. i used the slightly sharp box opener and I have to say, super cool. I did photograph them with my standard chrome scissors that I love. I’ll love these too. And I’ll probably get the bigger ones too. They cut incredible! A+.
