An unconventional, irreverent, yet heartfelt memoir by Ryan Higa, one of the top creators on YouTube. With pictures! And illustrations! And, y'know, words. I know you're used to seeing me on the Internet, but here I am, coming at you in book form. You might be asking yourself, A Book? You? Why? Great question! Why did I write a book? Listen, I'm as surprised about it as you are. But I have a story to tell that I believe will help inspire people who are going through tough times to not only persevere through those tough times but to excel in them. And I couldn't be the only YouTuber without a book, could I? So, welcome to Ryan Higa's How to Write Good , by me, Ryan Higa. This is the story of how I went from being a relatively happy kid to being depressed and angry and filled with dark thoughts. This is the story of how I thought I had only one way out of this cruel world. This is the story of how I found a better way. But wait, there's more! You're not only getting my story but you'll also learn how to write good--I mean well--from a college dropout who struggled in basic-level English classes and still became a legit, published Best Sailing Author. (That wasn't a typo. I plan to buy a boat one day...but probably not anytime soon. This book might not cell good.) Review: Great Book That Shows Ryan Higa Is A Comedy Genius - I am half way through the book but yet again, Ryan Higa blows me away with how talented he is when it comes to comedy. After years of being on Youtube, he is one of the few long running Youttubers who remain consistent and funny. I was pleasantly surprised after reading some of the book, that he and his ghost writer really nail his comedic sense in the book. Unlike on his Youtube channel, Ryan shares parts of his past and it gets a little dark but that was intentional so it could be inspiring for others who may be in the same place in their life. This book does a fantastic job balancing some darker tones and comedic ones. Ryan Higa has always been good with that and he is still good at it even when it comes to his personal life. Overall, great book worth a read whether or not you are a fan of his and want a sarcastic and witty book to make you laugh. If he ever decides to make another book, I'll buy it in a heart beat. Review: Funny with humanity and wit. - I finished this book in one go. Or almost one go, I had to sleep in between, it was almost midnight. I liked the lessons interleaved with a story I feel like I can relate to (even though I'm a tall white guy living in Finland). Maybe sympathize with is a better way to say it. In any case Ryan and his super-secret ghost writer have witty diaglogue, taught me some good lessons about writing and managed to get Ryan's persona out on the page to tell a compelling story. Worth the read!

Worth More Than a Sham WoOHOo
I can't even say anything but wow. I wish I could go on the tour to get it signed, but just... wow. I've watched Ryan since before '09 and Agents of Secret Stuff and I just love knowing what he was like before he got into all the YouTube stuff. It's like coming to know an old friend even better. (Even if the friend in question has no clue who you are or anything about you... it's still nice) It's not a conventional book, but it's really a good read and I enjoyed it. Also, read the heads. I didn't notice them until chapter three... but holy cow. Ryan Higa and ghost writer... this was beautiful. I give it 5 big bouncy inflatable green balls, and half a Will face.

Love This Book.
I had read this book a couple of years ago because I had borrowed it from a friend of mine and now I get to have my own. The book came in good condition.

Great Book
The comics threw me off at first but they provided insight into the process, which Ryan likes to showcase in his videos also. The book is actually about his process in writing his autobiography, while including the autobiography. The storytelling part is really well done and you can tell he's had help. The comics and footnotes include Ryan's process, thoughts and personality. I was entertained enough to finish the book in one sitting.

You're just great.
I've been a fan of nigahiga for the longest time, and I remember showing his videos to my friends back when I was in middle school (which was about 9-10 years ago). I sound like a mother hen saying this but I was proud to see an official published book from Ryan. Not only was it sincere and funny, this book showed the struggle and passion that young kids can have which adults usually forget about. It brought back feelings and memories that even I couldn't remember as an adult now. Thank you for this book and sharing your story!

Great for the NigaHiga fans!
Started watching Ryan about 10 years ago on YouTube... and recently my teenage daughter started watching him too. She's obsessed with him and after taking her to meet Ryan at the Las Vegas film premiere of "Gook", I thought this would be a nice gift for her. She loves it... now if he can just come out with a "how to read good" book. LOL JK! ;)

Awesome book!
Awesome book!! Very funny and has all the original humor of Ryan. Inspirational for those who are going through difficult times. And, of course, a guide for writers on "How to Write Good"!!

I love this book and Ryan. I feel for you.
I was bullied at my high school and primary for being different. I'm a brown skinned Muslim girl and I was picked on for being different. I was also in a position where I wanted things to change but I couldn't do anything to stop it. I was too weak to everyone. Ryan, I feel for you man. College is only where I got respect. Love you Ryan. Keep being you.
