## Description

In appearance, the Pendleton Lite Hunter strongly resembles Lloyd’s classic functional designs, with a practical drop point blade, modest guard, hollowed bolster area, and a flared butt to aid retention in slippery and inclement conditions. The only major changes were the adoption of subzero cryo quenched German 4116 Stainless Steel steel and the use of high-impact polypropylene for the handle.

Review: Scharf wie Säule - Das Messer erfüllt alle (meine) Erwartungen. Es ist leicht, sitzt bombenfest in der Plastikscheide (nicht die abgebildete, sondern die andere für dieses Model), und es kam immens scharf, also "out of the box" hier an. Man kann damit nicht nur super einfach und mit einem Strich alle Haare vom Arm abrasieren, sondern man kann sich auch richtig damit rasieren. Also den Bart im Gesicht. Ich habs ausprobiert. Nass, versteht sich. Kein Problem für die Klinge. Und das ist genau das, was mich wundert. Denn ich besitze noch das Cold Steel Modell "Survival-Edge" mit der gleichen Stahlsorte, dem Krupp-4116. Aber dieses Messer will einfach nicht scharf werden. Und was habe ich schon daran herumgeschliffen. Keine Chance. Es wird einfach nicht scharf. Das Lite-Hunter ist dagegen ein Killer, hat aber doch (laut Angabe) auch nur den 4116. Ich habe daher etwas Angst, daß ich es nicht wieder so scharf bekomme, wenn es mal stumpf wird. Aber so wie es jetzt ist, ist es genial. Meine Empfehlung: Kaufen, solange noch welche da sind und bei dem Preis am besten gleich zwei. Es lohnt sich. Versprochen.

**Q: Image shows flat grind but description says hollow grind.  Which is it?**
A: Cold steel on occasion will change the grind type. The pendleton lite use to be hollow ground but is now a Sabre grind (flat) of which I prefere over a hollow ground blade normally especially on inexpensive steel value knife.

**Q: Will the edge chip if you baton and make feather stick with it?  The pendleton Lite's edge was chipped when I made feather stick.**
A: If your Pendleton Hunter chipped while making a feather stick there is definitely something wrong with the integrity of the knife as these are typically very tough and durable. As long as you are working with wood a knife should never chip during normal usage. Send it back or have it looked at by a knife smith.

**Q: is it made in USA?**

A: Mine's the VG1 version and it's stamped Japan on the blade.

Buena calidad. Buen grosor de hoja. La funda funciona bien. La hoja venía aceptablemente afilada. Vale la pena, en especial a un precio tan económico.
