The next generation of our best-selling Skullerz 8945 Insert, the 8945F(x) Universal Bump Cap Insert with Extra Venting delivers enhanced breathability and up to 35% more crown impact protection. This lightweight and breathable impact-resistant shell easily inserts into any baseball cap, hat or other headwear for protection against bumps, scrapes, bruises and other minor head injuries. With flexible sides and convenient trim-to-fit customization, this bump cap insert easily fits a variety of hats/caps and head shapes. The shell is made of lightweight, durable polyethylene with a ribbed top for stronger crown impact protection. All-over venting maximizes airflow for cool comfort, while an interior foam pad reduces impact without absorbing odors for fresh all-day wear.

Review: Does the job, looks relatively discreet and offers good protection - After two major brain surgeries last year, I was left with a sizable peice of my skull missing, so needed something to protect my brain at work. I ordered some bump caps and none of them looked, just like a hat. The medical head guards look like cycle helmets, so I'd rather go unprotected tbh. These fit inside the rim of my docker cap tightly, but they go in, I've not tried them in a baseball cap yet. In the summer time it does get hot, but I don't think there's much to be done about that

**Q: Does it work with beanies?**
A: You'd have to have a long beanie to tuck the Bump Insert into as these slot into the seam/liner of a BB cap. It's possible but will likely shift about unless you find a way to lock it in position.

I ordered some bump caps and none of them looked, just like a hat. The medical head guards look like cycle helmets, so I'd rather go unprotected tbh. These fit inside the rim of my docker cap tightly, but they go in, I've not tried them in a baseball cap yet. In the summer time it does get hot, but I don't think there's much to be done about that
