This collar worked wonders on our 9 month old GSD. Walking was impossible before and is now quite pleasurable. I believe that it also was responsible for eliminating lunging at pedestrians, excessive barking ( although we bought an electronic collar designed for this purpose and it was a godsend ). to the point where our dog is much more enjoyable to deal with. The one issue that we have is with trying to put the collar on him. We found that attaching the prongs was difficult and took time , during which our dog would become impatient and he would start nipping and biting. The movement requires a bit of dexterity in the hands and fingers. We are both older and do not have much of this. However. this issue was solved by ordering the same collar with the metal CLASP. Therefore, no longer a need to place one prong into another. It is the same brand name (SPRENGER) but, in our case , was about three times more expensive. However, worth it for us.

This collar has really help me train my pup how to behave on lease. The links are easy to remove, which I did in order to put the buckle on(which is sold separately). The size I bought does fit nicely over my dogs head but I wanted the collar to also have a quick release. Very durable and easy/safe to use.

I bought the 18” chrome, 3.0 Herm Sprenger for a 50/60 lb 1 yr old, mixed dog (bulldog, French bulldog, staffordshire, ciao). I walk him several times a week for several miles. The leash is always tight because he is pulling. God forbid a squirrel, lizard, bird, or a cat is anywhere around. I have never had a dog I couldn’t break, he has been a challenge. I would be so frustrated during/after the walk it wasn’t fair to either of us. This training collar is a total game changer. Day one I followed directions of a YouTube trainer which I’m sure most of you have watched by now and he is cured. Yes, only day one of training, but I did one turn/opposite walk away, he yelped once which is normal and after that he has been by my side the entire time and has instantly learned his parameters. When I stop he stops. We came across a cat he didn’t even think twice to pull and try and chase. No more stress. There is hope. If you have a dog who pulls watch some videos to understand how this collar works and buy it. So happy. We both are.

I had to return, I ordered the wrong size. But, the collar is nice and well made. This is my second purchase, I lost my first collar. My dog is 120 lbs and I haven’t worried about the did getting out. Arrived as advertised!
