We bought this tent (the size that is big enough for 3 or 4) to sit in at an outdoor event that started in the late afternoon on what turned out to be a 100° day. After a little practice, it was easy to set up and take down in just a few minutes. It actually took longer to get it back in the bag than it took to collapse it. Once it was up, we found it to be very sturdy and solid. It didn't lean or collapse or blow around, though there was not a strong wind when we used it so I can't exactly speak to what happens in the wind. The blue color is really nice. We bought some matching low, shirt-legged beach chairs to go with it and two fit nicely under the shade part of the tent and we could still see out. We decided that we could probably also sit in a regular sized (not short legs) folding chair under the shady part and still see out. There is sufficient room under the ceiling of this tent for two people to be completely out of the sun so you dont have to get sunburnt. There are three zipper windows that we unzipped to let a breeze circulate inside. We also bought an 8" camping fan. Next time we use this I will probably buy a second fan so we each have one The inside of the tent has pockets to put keys and cell phones or other things you want to keep off the ground. We did find a shady spot to set up so the sun was not directly on us. Despite 100° heat and high humidity, we were comfortable enough to enjoy the event, and we were happy we had spent the money to buy this. Just, BTW, though I am not a camping kind of person, two people with blankets or sleeping bags could sleep nicely inside this tent, and maybe even two small pets. The "front porch" of this tent is plasticized to keep moisture from the ground from gettin on you, and it zips up. The "window " flaps zip up so you could be complete enclosed. We were pleased with this purchase.

We opened it up on the patio. What a very easy tent to put up and take down. The legs that are to be locked are the ones in the front opening. They are bent under when you open it. Supposed to lock them first but I missed that in the instructions (lo) which is sewn inside the carry bag. Seems to be well made and fabric is thicker than I expected, which is great!! The windows are large for air flow. The zipper doesn’t go all the way around the front flap. Has two one on each side. And the top just has a piece of Velcro. That is the only thing I wished was different. Has stakes and big pockets for dams. Bring a bucket or something to fill them up. It is spacious for three backpack beach chairs and the back area for a 3.5 foot tall child to stretch out. I think it will be perfect for the beach. I bought the bright orange! Love the color. Will update after our beach trip Update: was easy to put together and really was spacious. Bring a shovel or cup for putting sand in the bags

I used some smaller 1-person sun shelters earlier in the year that blew around and were horrible to fold back up. I’m afraid my daughter took a video of me struggling to fold them back down as the wind whipped them around. I found this tent which we used on the next trip and it was great. It held its shape in the wind and provided me sun shade. I’m not of the age where I want too much sun exposure - as so many people I know are getting melanomas and other bits removed. It was easy to break down (I read the reviews from a guy who had had issues and then found the directions were attached) and fold up. Not much larger or heavier than a typical fold up beach chair that comes in a carry bag.

This is a great tent, it is roomy, easy to open and take down, and fairly light weight. Why only 4 stars? Because it will not fit in a suitcase so we can’t take it on our vacation with us :( but it is a fun addition to the backyard on sunny days.

I have cancer and am taking chemo. My doctor said to be careful in the sun as the chemo makes me much more sensitive. We bought this tent for our beach vacation for extra protection. It did it's job wonderfully! I stayed in the shade and never got sunburned. All the windows/ openness make for great ventilation and it never got super stuffy. The larger open front allowed me to still talk to/ be part of the group. It was super easy to set up and take down. I could do it by myself if I needed to. We also got caught in a rain storm- heavy rain and lots of wind. (Second pic was the tent all closed up once the rain had calmed down.) My son sat inside with everything closed up and stayed perfectly dry. The tent was so sturdy and stable. It definitely got tested but held up perfectly! I also got several compliments on the tent. I probably looked at hundreds of options before purchasing this one. I'm so glad this was the one I picked! Awesome product! Would definitely purchase again!

Takes to long to put up, get the pop up one

I’m really happy with this beach tent! It’s lightweight, easy to carry, and sets up in just a couple of minutes — even with just one person. The ventilation is great, and it provides excellent shade and UV protection during the hottest part of the day. The material feels durable and held up well even on windy days. It also folds back down easily into the carry bag, which is a big plus. Perfect for the beach, park, or even in the garden. Highly recommend it for families, couples, or solo use!

Went to an all day arts and culture festival and took this for the comfort of being able to sit on the feound under the sun or rain, chill, eat and have a couple of friends join me. It popped upen like a breeze. The only thing is that the gound was really hard so the plastic spikes were difficult to secure. I brought a garden trowel just in case and that did the trick, so if you're not going to a sandy beach either get metal spikes or take a tool to be able to secure the plastic spikes. It rained slightly and this provided more than enough protection. The venting allowed for air flow and quality of the fabric was great. When we were leaving it took about 5 min to dry off the outside (water was beaded up and easily rolled off) and it folded quickly. It is so compact and light to carry. Fits in my coat closed easily, and I have a downtown condo with scarce extra storage. Really glad I bought this.
