Intelligent Brooder Box 10-15 Newborns Chicks Quail Birds Egg Incubator

It's tough to adjust the heat. I put a small thermometer directly under the lamp, aside from the included thermometer. The included thermometer was in Fahrenheight not celcius as shown (which I was glad about) It has a hygrometer included in the thermometer but I don't supplement humidity with hatched babies. I use it for a week or so only for newborns to dry out and to have a safe place for them from older birds- and then transfer them to a bigger brooder box with a heating plate. They tend to get over heated easily as evidenced by their panting- even in the shaded areas after 2 days or so- so I prop the door open and cover it with a breathable cloth. I figure it has to be too much CO2 build up, because they are just fine with the door propped open. My Jersey Giants at a week old can fly out of it. Best for smaller birds like orpingtons and banties. I like it as a safe place to hatch out a mostly hatched egg or to place a wet newborn. I can easily see what's going on. I marked the dial with paint when I finally got the setting to where it works to the best heat advantage. What I think is the watering container and feed dishes are a farce. The water container leaks the feed dishes are for caged birds and too tall for baby birds to reach. Unless I have them reversed. No matter nothing is suitable. But the price was good, It was easy to put together. I fixed my own watering and feeding dishes that are appropriate for my babies. I also learned to adjust the heat to what works for newborns. I will be using it again. It's easy to clean and disinfect between batches. I think the seller should keep their dishes and reduce the price. I may buy the bigger version for my big spring hatches. I sell a lot of baby birds in the early spring. I prefer this to just shoving them under a brooder plate where I can't see them. If my babies are having trouble I want to know while it might be something fixable like spraddle leg. I also want to know if they are eating and drinking okay before I sell them. I've got 8, 1- 1.5 week old babies in the smallest brooder box. They will be going into the brooder this weekend. I wouldn't put any more than that into it unless they are very tiny birds.

I had a very injured bantam chick and needed to set up a little chick ICU. This was perfect! Sturdy, easy to clean and kept the chick and two siblings warm while I nursed him back to health. I highly suggest this for anyone needing a little brooder for a few chicks. It definitely isn’t big but it is a good starter brooder for newborn chicks!

Awful product, not worth the money. Maybe 1 to 3 less than a week old chicks would fit but it barely fits my one 2.5 week old chick. If your babies are curious they could injure themselves pecking the low hanging light and thermometer. Not to mention the screws from the hinges (we faced them outward so she couldn't peck them). Huge disappointment, bought for one chick and it doesn't even fit her. Made of plastic and foam to, worried how long it would last with it the heat light on. Wouldn't suggest it unless you're raising a trio of serama bantam chicks.

This is a very small brooder, so read the dimensions carefully. It is not difficult to assemble, but it's overwhelming because the directions are so vague and there are so many pieces. Once I figured it out (on my own), it was not hard. The instructions said "Call any time for assistance" which was humerous as there was NO number anywhere on the packaging or instruction sheet. And given that the parts had chinese writing on them I would imagine that phone number would be out of the country.

I am extremely happy with this brooder box. For the price, it is exactly what is needed to brood 2 ducklings comfortably. You might be able to manage 3 for a short time, but that would be pushing it. I noticed some reviews complaining about gaps between parts and other fit issues, but I did not have those problems. In my opinion, most of that can be avoided by simply following the provided instructions carefully during assembly. A towel may be necessary to retain and maintain temperature. That’s not really a deficit, after all— show me an affordable product that doesn’t require some added insulation. The construction is sturdy laminated melamine and acrylic plastic. It is not made of cardboard as some have suggested. I am rarely this pleased with products like this, so that says a lot. This brooder is well designed, practical, and very close to perfect for its intended purpose. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the lamp. It gives off a bright white light, and that is going to keep ducklings awake all night long. A warmer, dimmer light setup would have made this nearly perfect. I will say, the price point IS a touch high. It is clear that this is a bread and butter product for the seller. For once I don’t mind. It was designed with intention and care for the end user’s satisfaction. I must admit, the price point is a bit steep for laminated melamine. However, it’s evident that this is a staple product for the seller. For once, I don’t mind. It was meticulously designed with the end user’s satisfaction in mind. That translates to a well earned markup.

This brooder was super easy to put together. The only irritating part about the whole thing was getting the film off of the glass. They need to put a tab there or something cause that took longer than putting the whole darn thing together. lol but it’s very stable and it has really good lighting. That is adjustable and the temperature knob is super convenient. It is a great purchase for anybody who is a first time or experienced for that matter because it doesn’t look half bad in the living room. One of the food bowls came broken and I’m not exactly sure where they were supposed to go, but they look like they’re supposed to go somewhere but there’s nowhere to attach it…. The water bowl is a very cute design enough to get their beak wet so they can clean their noses. I’m sure I will use this brooder for many things.

I am now on my 2nd round of parakeet babies and this thing works wonderfully!! I even had a momma leave 2 eggs and put them in there with my parakeets I was hand feeding and they hatched! One thing is it DOES NOT turn off when reaching a desired temperature it steady's out but if the room gets warmer so does the brooder if it gets colder so does the brooder. I would RECOMEND getting a plug in adaptor that does keep the temp. Other than that this thing is great. I will deff be getting a second one bigger for cockatiels. LOVE LOVE LOVE being able to watch the babies be babies and learn how to do things un like other brooders that are closed of.

I opened the box 30 minutes ago. It is completely assembled! It came with minimal instructions, but fits together perfectly, not needing much more than the pictures they sent. There are plenty of screws and I used the pointed screws for the "wooden" box assembly. The bolts (not pointed) I put in all four holes of the hinges with the nuts that match. The shortest four pointed screws I used to mount the light. The light comes with two bulbs. I tested the rheo-stat wafter I put in the bulb and plugged it in and all were in working order. The plastic hinged roof and front wall are not transparent. The front wall plastic also has black and red writing on it and not at all pretty! It comes with a handy thermometer and % humidity. The battery is already in it! The box is not white, but, lavender. I am going to paint the red and black plastic piece and make it adorable using I.O.D. stamps. It will be adorable when I customize it! My first brooder box! My first chicks!

This little broader works wonderfully! It can comfortably house 4 chick's at a time, which is perfect for what we use it for. It is nice to have the chick's very visible. For our small flock this is perfect. We are very pleased!

A really great little enclosure. Assembly instructions rather vague and misleading but with a little thought were not tequired and whole thing sorted in a short time..
