We love the couch and were so pleased that this fit in perfectly. It was a like for like match, minus the broken one being plastic. We couldn't be happier with the new replacement. It's a high quality metal so it won't break like the original one did. It has screw holes in the same place for easy replacement. There are two on the back and two on the sides to accommodate a number of installation types. I watched the 23 second video someone else had posted and I had mine installed it about two minutes more because I lost a screw. Super easy to install and the handle is very easy to pull without causing pain to my arthritic hands. I may even buy a second to replace the other side since it's so much easier to pull. Only complaint was it not coming with instructions, but nothing Youtube can't help you with. The old ones we had, the braided steel cables, broke. I thought it would either be big money to fix or very expensive. The couch it was on is pretty worn, so I did not want to spend much on it, since it has maybe a year or so left in its usable life. To be completely honest, I do not write many Amazon reviews; it seems like most products have so many reviews that it does not matter to write one myself. This product, though, was easy to install (I did not even know about the videos), very cheap for a quick fix to the couch, and it was installed, adjusted, and tested on both sides in less than 30 minutes.The only catch is that the adjustment appears to be one-time, meaning do not mess with it unless you are sure of the adjustment you need. I did this on the first one by accident and luckily got it right, but you should install it and have it just not screwed in before you do the adjustment.Overall great value for the money, works well, easy to use, and easy to install, 4 stars for sure! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than perfect replacement *by on Reviewed in the United States 8 June 2026* Didn't need the cable but they are identical to what was on my recliners.
