Expensive but helpful with overactive bladder
Oxybutinin is a useful prescription for managing overactive bladder. However if you take the pill, it can affect cognitive decline. I'm already at risk for cognitive decline, and the transdermal patch lessens the drug's effect on cognitive acuity. It''s expensive but effective, and I think it's worth the expense. Best of luck!

They do what they said to do.
These Oxytrol for Women Overactive Bladder patches take a few days to work. But they are helpful once they get through your system. It’s important to take them off after four days otherwise they can put rashes on your skin. This is the third time I bought these and now I can't find a place to put on my skin that doesn't make me itch. I don't put them on the same place as the last time. You might want to buy a small pack to make sure that they agree with your skin.

BAD BAD BAD
I have been using Oxytrol patches for years. They have always been a bit messy when the patch is removed because it leaves a sticky residue some worse than others and some cause an itch worse than others. Never have figured out why. This particular box was/is horrible. Still have one left and am weary of using it. Every single one (7) I used from this box caused a REALLY bad itch and burning sensation from the onset. The worse part was when they got wet in the shower. The burning increased and was VERY bad, so much so I removed each one. I tried to save them for future use to see if I reacted the same way but they usually got stuck to something else and ended up in the garbage. This is very sad. A needed usable product that wasnt great but served the purpose GONE BAD BAD BAD. BTW, the adhesive was reallt strong certainly different so that may be what I was reacting to. I do hope they return to a more gentle adhesive. Too much money to for patches that can only be used less than a day.

I like the medication, but the patches are dismal
The patch material on these things leaves a lot to be desired. It is hard and stiff, making it uncomfortable wherever to try to apply it. The adhesive leaks out over the edges of the patch leaving a sticky ring around it that tends to turn black if you wear jeans or dark clothes over it. And the adhesive does NOT come OFF. I mean after over a week of scrubbing in the shower, the only thing that removes this stuff is “adhesive remover pads” I get at the hospital where I work. What’s the deal with this??? It’s not like the patches themselves are well adhered because they peel off in the shower easily, just the sticky residue remains. I also find the packaging extremely difficult to open. You must use scissors, and then you must also tear along a separate line hoping the edges separate in a way that allows you to peel them apart and get to the patch inside. It’s kind of ridiculous. They really need to do better with the application, like lidocaine patches have done. It’s not rocket science. But the drug is effective.

They don't stay put.
It works great, but the patches don't stay on. Yep they do burn and itch a minor amount. But my real problem is then just staying in place.

GET THEM THEY WORK!!!!!!!
They work!!! I am a bigger person so I have been using 2 at a time, but these honestly work! I am in menopause so frequent urination is a overlooked symptom, I was up every hour using the restroom until I got these!! Now I get a total of 3 hours sleep at times!! I will not live without these!! I was skeptical thinking "these are not going to work" but they have changed my life!!!

Amazing results so far.
Bought this small box to try the product; used the first patch last night ith fantastic results. I have a more severe conditon called "overflow", which is more common in women older than I am. I usually am up 3 times a night, with the "rush" to get to the bathroom - despite my Tena products. Now, no rush to get there and much better so far today. Suggestions: The patch is pretty far down into the packaging, so I cut it open just below the dotted line - easy from there. Also, while I have not removed the patch yet, when I saw the comments about the sticky residue, one product immediately came to mind - one I use in the kitchen all the time -- Goo-Gone!. Now, don't laugh ladies, mine is lemon scented in a spray bottle and does not irritate the skin on my hands when I use it. In fact, it leaves my hands soft even after I wash it off. If I encounter the residue thing from the first patch, I will grab my handy, dandy bottle of Goo-Gone and let you know. If trial box works as well with manageable "side effects", I will definitely order the biggest box I can get. Then I will call my urologist's office and let them know. My only other option was surgery, and even though it is a simple procedure and only an overnight stay in the hospital, it is not something I want to do yet. I will update this review later. Let me know if the Goo-Gone works for you . . . UPDATE: 3/6/14 minimal sticky residue. Goo gone did the trick and I was mistaken - it's orange scented, mild on my skin and very pleasant. No side effects to date. Ordered more patches.

Patch doesn’t stay on!
The problem I have with this product is it doesn’t stick well, for how expensive this item is, it comes right off! Because we you have to place it in areas like the abdomen, hip or buttocks! These areas get a lot of traction when rushing to the restroom! But, it works well when it stays in place. Oh and it does burn the skin when placed on sensitive areas like stomach.
