I have a 4 cup teapot, does it keep it hot as well?

I usually have 4 mugs of tea and this cozy keeps it pretty hot. The last mug may not be a hot as the first one but it is still enjoyable. Also, my tea is usually spread out over 1 1/2 to 2 hours. I hope this helps you.

States it fits "up to 6-cup teapots." Will it fit my 6-cup Chatsford teapot?

This cozy fits my 1.5 qt. Chantal tea pot. My pot is hard to fit and it took little bit of searching to find this one from Muldale. Look at the specs (product description) and measure your tea pot to be sure, but I think it should fit. I always put a thick towel over the tea pot before I put on the cozy and it still fits. I get four mugs of tea from my pot, that is probably about 6 regular sized tea cups. It really is large and roomy. I hope this helps and that if you purchase it that it will fit perfectly.

how thick is the wall from outside to inside?

Difficult to measure as the wadding inside is soft and pliable. It has a good amount but also seems to be about the same as my other cozy.

Will it fit a one-gallon tea pot?

Der Teemuff ist teurer und ich habe das Geld wegen des Geschmacks der Beschenkten ausgegeben und damit einen unifarbenenen erstanden und keine gemusterten, bei aller Liebe zu gewissem Brit-chic. Er funktioniert anscheinend sehr gut in seinem Zweck und macht das Frühstück sehr gemütlich, weil nicht dauernd neuer Tee gekocht werden muss, sondern der Tee schön warm bleibt. Stövchen zerstören angeblich die Teesensorik hat mir ein Spezialist gesagt. Dies scheint hier nicht der Fall zu sein
