It is accurate: Multiple measurements using 4-7 gram weights were within 1-2 grams (non-scientific: weights intended for high-end mouse, could themselves be slightly inaccurate), and it was also spot-on with a couple of "3 pound" exercise weights. It had no trouble with close to 7 pounds of weights, which judging by feel (my exclusive previous mode of measurement!) is more weight than I typically measure (e.g. kitchen, postal shipping). The scale seems fairly well-made and weighty, with a matte grey plastic exterior (measuring about 8.5 x 6.5 x 1.5 in, a bit larger but lower-profile than I'd imagined) and 6 small rubber feet resulting in good stability. It also features a very pleasant blue-backlit display (measuring about 2.5 x 1 in) and a faux 'brushed stainless steel' (plastic?) top weighing platform. The unit is simple to use, the actions/buttons (On/Off, Tare, Unit) performed flawlessly, and it shut down automatically as stated. What more can I ask for? Comes in a generic-style box (see pictures) with adequate instructions and two AAA batteries. Country of production is unclear.
