ROOFULL External CD DVD Drive with USB 3.0 Port Hub, SD Card Reader & Case

Inexpensive, works great, what more could I say about a $18 DVD-R USB attached? I haven't used a DVD or CD in years, but came across a DVD and needed to get a few files off it. this external CD/DVD player was quick and easy. Now I have a way if needed to read CD/DVDs on my desktop and laptop.

Works great and compatible with both USB-A & USB-C connections. It is an easy way to play my old DVDs, burn backups or music CDs, and add older software to newer computers that lack an internal DVD drive.

I tried all the things this drive is supposed to do: Used Windows Media Player Legacy for these audio functions: Played a CD from the drive; ripped a CD that was in the drive onto my computer; then played the ripped CD (to make sure it had ripped ok). I burned a CD from an album that I had downloaded onto my computer. I was then able to play the CD from the drive, and also from a cd player in my radio, so the burn was successful. I downloaded and used VLC Media Player to watch a DVD on my computer. I installed a large program from a DVD onto my computer (it was VERY slow doing this, but it was eventually successful). The USB ports worked fine for thumb drives, but I had trouble inserting an SD card into the slot, and the micro SD slot gave me even more trouble. I don't need this drive for that, so this is not a show-stopper for me, but it is the reason for the 4 stars. There was an additional cord in the box (besides the one located in the bottom of the device). The instructions said I could plug that into a power device if needed, but I never used it, because I didn't see that there was a need for more power. The model I bought has a nice padded sleeve that will be useful, since I don't plan to use this drive a lot. There was a notice in the box that said I could get an additional 2-yr warranty by sending my Amazon order number to a specific email address. A nice plus. All in all, a good value for the money.

Great for adding songs to your MacBook from a CD S CD players aren’t included anymore with laptops and functions well and it’s easy to use. It is very quiet and it is fast not to mention. It’s compact size leads to being able to carry it with you in your backpack. The appearance is nice as it looks very sleek and futuristic for it to be a CD player and burner.

Worked like a charm. Only recommendation would be to have a more detailed step by step and identification of what cable goes where. Once I plugged in the USB with the blue on the inside of the cable connector, the computer recognized the device.

I've used this drive on both an older Windows 10 and newer Windows 11 laptop and it works fine on both, although only in the USB 3 ports on my older laptop. I have tried all of the USB and SD Card expansion slots and all are working. The TF card slot seems awkward to load and unload, not the smooth spring-loaded behavior in am used to, but I just use an SD card adapter and put in the larger SD card slot. So far I have read CDs, data DVDs, movie DVDs, and burned data DVDs. Just make sure to follow the instructions and set the proper country code in the drive (mine did not come with USA set) or it won't play movie DVDs and the VLC software won't identify the problem! I also found that I can burn disks by plugging the drive's USB-C connector into my laptop's Thunderbolt port without using the included supplemental power cable. Oh, and my drive included an offer to extend the warranty by 2 years at no extra cost. So far, very happy!

Very easy to use, very straightforward. All you have to do is plug it in directly to your computer via a USB cable. It installs super fast and I was able to rip the songs from some cds my late best friend had burned for me a long time ago. I could also play the cds as well, with no lagging or skipping. My laptop doesn't have a disc drive, but this product helped me be able to connect with the memories of my friend who's been gone for over 8 years by allowing me to access the music on the cds she made me. I'm very impressed with how fast and easy this product was to set up and use. And it got delivered in 2 days. Very happy with this purchase.

As a third party brand/product I was skeptical but this little thing is a work horse. Still going strong after ripping my entire cd collection into iTunes. Backing data up to disc. And even backing up my media library. It’s a little on the slow side given it’s usb generation but it still works wonderfully.

Bought this to do a language course I had borrowed from the library that came with CD's and my computer doesn't have a drive for it. This was plug and play and worked so easily. And I love the padded case it comes in. Nice and compact and easy to put away when not in use so that it's not taking up space on my desk.

Compre este producto para poder copiar discos de musica a mi computadora, descarge vlc, music bee, use windows media player, ningun programa podia copiar mas de una cancion antes de bloquearse completamente. Como se que era este lector? por que compre uno LG en su lugar y ese funciono de maravilla. No vale la pena si deseas copiar mucha informacion, no se que tal sirva para quemar discos pero asumo que sera igual de pesimo.
