I would hazard a guess that this particular felt is very close to 15 years old.. I was so impressed that I started thinking that these may become unavailable at some point and I would be tasked with finding something else comparable once this eventually stopped working. 12 felts are over kill for my personal use but I decided to share my experience and; I work in an industry where the staff use sharpies daily, fiddling with the cap and drying out quickly, is an ongoing problem. Based on my personal experiences I decided to order an entire box to see how they work in that environment. The reason for the 4 stars is because the box of 12 arrived as a box of 11.
