Excellent book to use in conjunction with all method books. Lip slurs are a must do for all brass players. This book covers all players from beginners to professionals. I would recommend it to all brass players

I bought this book when I started playing the trumpet 8 months ago and it has helped me immensely. I think it really helped to build my range and endurance early on. Even now I heavily rely on it it for warm-ups and maintaining my embouchure.The premise of the book is that the upper register can be developed through lower register exercises. This makes the books exercises very accessible for beginners. In the first half it doesn't go above staff G, which should be well within the range of all but the newest players.I can't recommend this book enough. It's cheap and short, but I easily use it more than any other book.

I have not had a chance to run through the entire book, but the calisthenics are pretty vast.  Obviously they start simple and progressively get more involved and technical, but it is a great way to help keep the chops up to par.  I use this mostly if I have not played in a while and I need to prepare for some type of gig.  Great addition to any technical studies collection.
