**Q: How do they work?**
A: Pinmoors work by putting a straight pin in the fabric and attaching the pinmoor on the other end to anchor it in place. For those with bad wrists, weak hands, or want to save time, they are super helpful when basting a quilt because you don't have to open and close hundreds of safety pins. What a great invention! I don't like the toxic fumes of spray baste and I hate safety pins. Pinmoors enable me to use my favorite pins for the specific project I am working on. They are easy to put on the pins and easy to remove. They are a great tool to have!

You need to use thick and very stiff pins with these. Finer quilting pins bend too easily. Also, the pins often poke through the sides unless you are very careful to center the pin. They are much easier to remove than quilters' safety pins.

I am an avid quilter, and always looking for alternative ways to baste my quilt since I do not like the chemicals in spray basting, and safety pins are nice, but tedious to use.  I came across Leah Day's video, [...]  and decided to give Pinmoors a try.  I am very happy with my purchase, I can use my favorite pins with the Pinmoors, and basting is much faster, and easier on my fingers.
