I recently purchased the MageGee Portable 60% Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, and overall, I'm quite satisfied with its performance. Firstly, the compact design of this keyboard is a significant selling point. The 60% form factor means it takes up minimal space on my desk, making it perfect for gaming setups with limited room or for on-the-go use. Despite its small size, the keys feel sturdy and responsive, providing a satisfying typing and gaming experience. The mechanical switches offer a nice tactile feedback, enhancing the overall typing experience. However, it's worth noting that the sound level might be a bit louder than some users prefer, especially in quieter environments. The LED backlighting is a nice touch, providing customizable lighting effects to match your gaming setup or personal preferences. While it may not have all the bells and whistles of more expensive keyboards, it delivers a satisfying typing and gaming experience at a reasonable price point.

Bought this for my 13 year old who is a gamer. He goes nuts over the mechanical clock. Now need to buy one for myself. Def recommended

[60%, blue/white key caps & blue switches] Extended use update: after about 4 months of use (approximately 2 hours a night gaming and 5 hours a week normal typing) the J key has started to be intermittent, with normal or firm pressure making no difference in function. One star deducted for poor reliability. Keyboard was retired for a full sized board, rather than repaired, since being without a num-pad was more of a disadvantage than the larger size of a full keyboard. TLDR: ...great mechanical keyboard for cheap, better with o-rings installed and probably not a good match for folks with big hands, or anyone who needs full functionality with non-gaming apps. Full-ish review: All plastic top deck and recessed key bases aren't as "gamer" as higher end keyboards with flat aluminum top decks, but the switches have great action and you can turn the LED backlight down to useable levels , or off if desired (the brightest settings and demo modes are distracting, even in normal room light but the key symbols are hard to see without any backlight). The keys caps are actual two part co-molded types, rather than clear keys with paint masking (like my basic Logitech mechanical), though the cap thickness is a bit on the thin side. Key spacing is slightly cramped compared to many other keyboards, even some laptops and compacts. As received, the keyboard is *very* "clackety", but adding o-rings leaves a distinct "click" with each key press, but none of the resonant clatter from the key caps bottoming on the switch base. Adding the o-rings reduced overall key noise by about a third to my uncalibrated ear... Sufficient weight and decent rubber feet keep it from moving around too much during intense gaming and dual height feet on the back give a good range of angles. The size of a 60% board is awesome for clearing desk space for mouse movement, but if you're also using your gaming machine for general purpose computing, you may want to have a full sized keyboard to swap in for running any apps that benefit from dedicated F-keys, or a num-pad (the F-keys are doubled up with the upper row number keys and require a second keystroke to access). Honestly, I wish that gaming boards with just a num-pad delete were more common at this price, as they're much more useful, even for gaming, where having F-keys that are directly accessed is often a benefit. **This review is based on the first week of use, if there are any quality issues I'll revise the review and ratings!

After daily driving for 3 months, I have very few complaints. Only once on start up did the keyboard not turn on but a quick unplug/plug-in it worked just fine. If you are coming from a full sized keyboard, it takes an adjustment period to get used to a 60% keyboard. I was worried I would miss the numpad but it hasn't been an issue.

I wish I could give this a stellar review, but I can't. In fact, I won't recommend any Magegee product any more. I got this because I bought a full size keyboard from this company, and after a few months, the "E" key kept double-keying, making it almost useless to someone who writes on their computer. I will say this, the company were very gracious and refunded me the cost even though it was past the refund limit. I do think they are run by nice people. The problem is, I bought this to replace that one, and it just stopped working all the time. Looking around for an answer, I found that a lot of people had good results by replacing the USB cable. I tried that and it seemed to help. The problem is that the actual problem is not the cable, it's the USB interface. It breaks communication with your PC ALL THE TIME. If you use a good cable, it will re-establish the connection so quick, you won't notice it, but that still leaves a problem for me. I use a digital KVM, (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) to use one keyboard and mouse between two different systems. I've never had a problem using it with ANY keyboard I plugged in. With the Magegee, when it drops connection, even for a millisecond, when it reasserts the connection, the keyboard AND mouse drop back to the host computer, even if you were using the client computer at the time. As someone who types a lot, it is a miserable failure when, without your noticing it, your cursor goes to the wrong computer while you are typing, and your text disappears, because the machine you are typing on doesn't even have an input box open. If you were using this while gaming, you'd tear your hair out. I get that this is a problem most users won't have, but it is a problem some people will have. If you are doing IT and managing servers, it's useless. If you are just using the one system, it should be fine, but I wouldn't recommend you buy a dog with a twisted stomach, or a keyboard with a known flaw in it. You don't know how it will affect you, and whether it will only degrade worse over time. Two keyboards, two major flaws, I'm not a customer any more. Sorry, Magegee.

Keyboard is well made and seems durable, only had it a few days so durability is projected. It may not be obvious to all, but you get and extra 13 keycaps Mine were red, I think all are but haven't purchased other options. Very easy to change the keycaps with included tool. Wife thinks it is loud with the blue keys, but I don't notice it. I think the sound of the keys is expected with this type of keyboard. This is a 60% percent, it is small and takes up very little room on the desk.(60% right?). Compared to a full size keyboard it looks tiny, but during normal typing I don't feel anything is amiss. I don't use the separate numpad and function keys found on larger keyboards very often. I like it and for the price it is difficult to find fault with this keyboard. I'd recommended it as an inexpensive way to see if the percent TKL keyboards are for you. (TKL sounds like saying something is sugarless, marketing is making a point of it missing something that would be normally found)

I love this keyboard, but it feels flimsy and fragile. It's very, very light. I do not know if it will stand the test of time. I hope so. The keys come out very easily and the keyboard has spontaneous stopped working. I just unplug it and re-plug it and then it works. I like the LED lights and the extra keys it comes with. I like a lot about it. I mistype a lot with it, and sometimes it presses extra characters but it's been good, otherwise. I use it with my laptop because I don't like any laptops keyboard. For the price it's excellent and if the cord were to break, it seems like it'd be a snap to replace. So long as the keyboard continues to work I'll be happy. It's very small, very light and looks great. Goes well with being my mouse and is very portable. UPDATE: I have to unplug and re-plug this keyboard in, constantly, to get it to work. It's frustrating. Wish I had never bought it,

For 2 months it did preform brilliant but now more than 2-3 keys are causing problem sometimes they don't work atall can other times 1 click gives 3 inputs

A delightful, well-made, tactile keyboard. Incredible value. Backlight is tasteful and the keys even light up more when you press on them! I would've never guessed how inexpensive it is given the fantastic quality. Do note: this is a VERY loud keyboard. I enjoy loud keyboards and was looking for one myself, but this one took me a couple of weeks to get used to. I would dock one star for the volume but given the perfection otherwise and the inexpensive price, it doesn't seem fair to. If you don't like LOUD keyboards, don't get this one!

I’m so happy with this keyboard. It’s not very expensive but high quality. The keyboard comes with extra keys that you can customise which i love about this.

Keyboard is smooth and gives you that satisfaction of those mechanical key clicks and it feels very sturdy would 100% buy more of these
