Danger of choking if you have a smaller dog! *by M***R on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 11, 2017* My dog loves these, but there is an inherent problem with them for smaller dogs. The "bones" are made of very thin sheets of a rawhide material that are then rolled into the bone shape. My dog tends to pull them apart and try to swallow the pieces. Since the material is so thin, the "sheets" of rawhide that come off are relatively large. For a larger breed of dog, this would be fine, but for my Mini Doxie, it is far too easy to pull off a piece that is too large to be safe. She managed to get a large piece in her throat on two separate occasions and nearly choked to death. After the second time, I threw these away and went back to the grocery store brand that are made off a thicker material that does not pull of in such large pieces. Again, the ONE STAR review is for a smaller dog. If you have a larger dog, I am sure they are just fine.
