All I did was plug in the USB receiver on the back of my PC and Windows automatically detected it. I was able to use the remote instantly. This is the perfect remote to control your PC and Media Center with. I like to sit back and watch DVDs and listen to music from a distance and this remote definitely assists me with that. All of the expected functionality is there: volume, Media Center button, menu, playback buttons, etc. I have absolutely no complaints. The RF receiver is fantastic. No need to point at any receiver; just use the remote to your desire. Another great thing about this remote it that it is pretty light and rather compact as compared to most other Media Center remotes. It requires two AAA batteries, which are included.
