Quality oil, meets manufacturer specs for BMW R1250 GS Adventure
This oil feels good. I did the running in service myself at 700 miles on my 2022 BMW R1250 GS Adventure and used this oil at 5w40. It meets all specifications called for in the BMW manual since it's API-SL and JASO MA-2 rated. I just changed the oil again at 3,800 miles and it was a dark honey color, but not black. It could have easily gone another couple thousand miles (as is the recommended interval) but I did about 1000 miles of dirt and wanted to go ahead and change it early. Engine and clutch feel fine with this oil. I'm going to keep using it. Definitely best to get it by the case on Amazon. The GS takes almost 4 full quarts, so 2 cases would give you 3 oil changes with a bit of extra just in case. This brings the cost of GS oil changes down to around $60 if you include the cost of the filters and new crush washers. Not too bad and definitely better than the dealer.

Great motorcycle oil - but expensive
This oil meets the specs required for my BMW motorcycles and I’ve been using it for years, but the price has been fluctuating wildly in the past year or so. Seems to go from around $45 to $65 for a 6qt pack. Ridiculous. There are other great alternatives for a much lower price. shell T6 Rotella is one example. I find it hard to justify the price of around $12/qt in a 6 qt pack. A little over a year ago it was around $8/qt.

Best oil for BMW Motorcycles.
I have purchased this oil for my 2007 BMW K1200GT several times. It's much less expensive on Amazon compared to dealership prices. It's exactly what the manufacturer recommends and my motorcycle really responds well to it. I've used it for over 30,000 miles. My engine, clutch ,and transmision are integral so, this is also clutch oil technically. I would not use anything else in my BMW motorcycle. Just repurchased this item. Using it on a 2007 BMW K1200GT with 75,000 miles. This is excellent oil for this motorcycle. I have used it exclusively since 42,000 miles/December 2018.
