sturdy, great for portioning, really like the handle length and the thickness of the material. it feels quality and does the job very well, and you can hold it with your entire hand rather than just pinching a tiny handle between a couple of fingers, which means you're less likely to drop it!

I purchased the 1 oz yellow short handled scoop. I was unsure about the length of it from the listing, though, because the listing has what appears to be dimensions for the long handle. Anyway... it's about 6.5 inches long for those that want to know. I went back and ordered a few more after the first purchase b/c this size is so handy. I use my stash of scoops for portion control for kitty kibble, and scooping chia and flax meal for my smoothies. The yellow color is very pleasing and the manufacturing quality is quite good. I just ordered a 4 oz and may add the other sizes soon. Excellent product overall. -- Just want to add that it's made in Mexico, which I appreciate vs. China. Mexico is our neighbor here in the USA and I'm happy to send business its way. It if can't be made here, let it be Mexico or Canada, our neighbors.

I bought this for my dog food. Long handle makes it easy to find in the container. Very sturdy and easy to keep it clean.

It was to help serve at my work place for infant servings under the age 18 months.

Perfect addition to my candle making items, most call for 1 oz of fragrance oil.

Love this gadget for my crafting

"Solid" is accurate -- this is a sturdy measuring spoon. It's a little bulky but I prefer that to tiny handles. It's got a neat retro look as well and it's easy to clean manually, which is nice since I'm often using it to measure out cocktail ingredients. Good buy for a reliable all around measuring spoon. I had a metal one I liked, but it eventually cracked.

Love the flat bottom, easy to place on table. Sturdy handle and useful for portions. Might need different sizes from this brand. Con - dark colour makes it tricky to measure clear liquids without proper lighting.

These spoons are quite functional but cosmetically very disappointing. I have purchased a number of other Carlisle portion spoons. The molding quality has been impeccable. With these spoons the outside bottom of the bowl is rough. There is a very conspicuous mark from the gate ("hole" through which the plastic is injected into the mold cavity for the actual part) in the top middle of the handle and roughness on the sides of the handle adjacent to the gate. With other Carlisle spoons I can't even tell for sure where the gate(s) was(were) located. These ARE just cosmetic defects and don't impair function, but they are not something I expect from a Carlisle product.
