Very happy with my purchase. I have other herb-filled hot/cold packs and have used them for years, but needed something a little bigger to cover my entire back and shoulders. Getting old kinda stinks sometimes. Bought this one based on several reviews and am very happy with my purchase. I do have a little trouble getting the filling evened out before laying on it, but you will run into that issue with any of this style pack. It smells heavenly and melts away the stress of the day. It's also a great bed-warmer in the wintertime. We live where it snows and on those really cold winter nights I heat this up and lay it under the blankets while I do my evening routine and when I get in bed it smells wonderful and the bed is all warm and cozy and I drift right off to sleep. Highly recommend.

This thing is great! It's perfect for easing knots and aches in my upper back and shoulders. It also smells really good!! The one thing I would change about it is I would have made the tabs that hang over the front on your shoulders longer or perhaps put Velcro on them so it would secure better. It's fairly heavy and it's obviously weighted more in the back so it slips off unless you are laying down or propped up with cushions. Other than that it's perfect! Also the microwave time suggestion seems conservative, I had to heat it for about 3 1/2 minutes before it was hot enough..... But I would suggest following the instructions because every microwave is different . I know from experience with the herb stuffed heating pads that you can scorch the stuffing if you zap it too long. Then it smells like burnt popcorn!!

This heat pac is very well made. I have ordered this brand before and they last for years. Soft thick fabric and heavy enough to hold heat for a long time. Use this for relaxing back muscle pain. This is large enough to cover your whole back and works great to lay on in bed. Have tried other brands but this is the best.

Have only used this a few times so far, and I will say that it served its purpose. As with any of these types of things, it takes a little trial and error with your microwave oven to figure out the best time to use, how much water to spritz on it, if any, and so on. It's a pretty lavender color, soft fabric, good shape and size, smells like lavender when heated, and best of all, it is heavy. It has to be gently laid onto the body, not dropped onto someone's sore back, that should go without saying. The weight is necessary to cause the heat to transfer to the body. If it was very light, it would not work. So if you are in so much pain that a sheet hurts, don't use this. But for the rest of us, it's a very nice hot pack to use alone or in conjunction with any additional bodywork, and, for in-home personal use, it beats shelling out several hundred dollars for a professional hydrocollator and moist hot packs. If you are a professional massage therapist, buy the hydrocollator and moist hot packs. You won't be sorry. But if you just need something to relax you at the end of a long, hard day or to relax tight back or leg muscles, I recommend this!

This was exactly what I was looking for. I has good coverage. I've even used it to help keep warm when I'm cold and just lounging around the house.

I bought the Herbal Concepts Neck Wrap and loved it so much I purchased the Back Pac. Both are made from the same soft fabric and aromatic herbs, but the Back Pac has some issues that the neck wrap didn't have. For one the back pac is very heavy: 4 lbs 3 ½ oz to be exact. If you have back problems, or internal issues (due to chemo, surgery, etc) the wrap can feel like a ton of bricks. Second issue was the stitching. The pac is stitched with vertical and horizontal lines making what looks like compartments. But the stitching does not completely seal off the compartments, so when you lift the pac gravity takes control and all the herbs slide to the bottom. After a few seconds you get this huge lump of herbs pooled at the bottom. I found myself spending a lot of time redistributing the herbs into all the compartments. In the end I pulled out a needed and thread, redistributed the herbs, and then stitched all the compartments closed. So a good product if you don't mind the weight, and if you are handy with a needle and thread.

originally bought at another store for a few dollars more. Loved it so much, wanted to buy another one for daughter and found on Amazon for a few dollars less. We both suffer from resltess legs and insomnia and our meds do not help much. I use thiis every night; put in microwave for 3 minutes and it stays warm for at least 3 hours. Lay part of it on my stomach when I go to bed and it is so warming and comforting that It makes it easy to go to sleep. Daughter lays it on her legs and recently hurt her back so also used it on back. She is happy with it too. Also smells nice as it is filled with herbs and lavender.It is very pliable so easy to move around to put where you want.

I am so disappointed in this particular product. I have several other products from Herbal Concepts and love them all. I purchased this for a friend who has severe upper back pain around his spine. Only came to find out later (as it was sent directly to him) that none of the center sections have any heating beads, they are empty and flat. Only the shoulder sections and the outside edges have beads and heat up. A real zero in my opinion. I still stand by the company and the other products, in particular the neck and shoulder item, but this one is useless.

Safe, easy to use & convenient for wheelchair user with back pain. Merveilleux!
