New Fashion Illustration: Outfit Ideas for All (PIE Creators' File Series)

Great sequel. Illustrations are gorgeous as always and has more variety in people drawn but a lot of the same styles of clothes as the first. The magazine design on the cover is great and the finish is glossy compared to the previous issue. Print quality is top notch. I adore that the list of artists included are in a little paper booklet attached in the back, which adds to the fashion magazine aesthetic. If you can only purchase one, I'd say get this one as both might feel a bit redundant.

I love this book. All the artist are great and the outfits are lovely to draw. Super fun to reference for warm up. The artist did all the thinking for me.

This is a great art book focusing on fashion. Each artist brings something unique, and it's very enjoyable to see the differing perspectives and styles. The book is a nice paper, satin finished. You get a book cover, and there's a ton of pages!

I'm really enjoying the PIE fashion series and hopefully we will get a few more volumes. The illustration styles are varied and just fantastic (even the ones I don't love are still interesting!). Plus, if you like the diversity of Japanese fashion, it's great to have these artful references since getting Japanese fashion magazines with real people in them is a challenge if you live in the US. These may be illustrations, but still they capture the essence of a lot of the different fashion lanes like streetwear, techwear, etc.

The inner cover looks more cohesive with my room so I removed the original coloured covering. I saw this book in Instagram and it has a great study for clothing and other art styles. ♡

The book came in great condition and the outfits are fantastic, the only problem I have is with the cover and first page. They’re glued together awkwardly but with a gap, and the first page seems shorter, and there feels like there’s resistance with the page, so whenever I try to open it, if I let go, the book practically closes itself.

I love using this book to inspire my art and fashion ideas!

A preface: As with the last 'Outfit' book, the cover art you see on the product page is actually a dust jacket (on a paperback book). Underneath, Tamimoon's cover art is coloured in various shades of blue-purple and white. Again, a themed sticker covers part of the front, the spine section, and the back of the dust jacket. Given my (very) personal preferences regarding 'features' that could have just been printed straight onto the cover, I again removed said sticker. We are treated to the wonderfully varied works of another forty Japanese fashion illustrators. Like 'Outfit Of The Day', each artist gets a four page feature- many pieces are single/double-page spreads whilst others choose to split single pages into mini-galleries. Some of these pieces are printed on different paper stocks; some glossy, some closer to newsprint. This was a standout feature in the previous book, and one that I'm glad the publisher has retained for 'Outfit Ideas For All'. In keeping with the title, there is a far greater breadth of styles and fashions to feast your eyes upon- menswear is much more prominent throughout (albeit mostly 'street style'), plus-sized models are given their time to shine, and there are several moody, edgier styles that are far from even this book's norm! Fashionistas, influencers, and art lovers alike would do well to add this book to their collections as soon as they can!
