We had to buy a (~$21 desertcart) Dorman 904-204 Oil Filter Cap (included o-ring gasket) to use this Motorcraft FL-2016 cartridge, which fit perfectly. The Ford OEM Oil cap is Motorcraft EC-781 is also available on desertcart, currently ~$18. Other reviewers stated the Dorman part 904-204 was a higher quality than the original MotorcraftEC-781. Since we no longer have the original EC-781 cap, we can't compare them. But the Dorman cap is well made/finished.
