The 1/48 scale Macross toys by Yamato are their top of the line. The details are amazing and it is very durable and articulated. Made with collectors and fans in mind it can still be used as a regular toy for older children although it is rather expensive to be put to that use. The VF-1J Stealth version is unique and a bit rare so if you are a fan and you have the chance to pick one up I highly reccommend it.

This figure was my first Yamato 1/48 scale valkyrie. It's a largely great figure, very detailed and the transformation is fun and not to difficult. One thing I really like is the size. It's pretty big in all modes and looks mean with this particular coloring.Small nitpicks with the item are a loose air brake and loose wrists. I believe these problems are regular with this series and are pretty small nitpicks.This is obviously a piece for older collectors and not a kids toy. If you want something for them, the Bandai 1/55 figures are very durable figures.
