Elite Strap with Battery

***UPDATE: Just wanted to come back and say it’s now been about 2 months and I’m still lovin it! Still going strong! No wear and tear, no shoddy construction, no regrets! Also I’m a hardcore daily user so I’m definitely putting it through its paces. HappyHappyHappy I did about 40 minutes of research before finally deciding on this battery strap. I’ve been using it everyday for about 2 weeks now and I can say I am VERY happy with the purchase! In my research, the Meta strap seems to break on a lot of people. I didn’t want to spend $100 on something just for it to break and have to deal with the horrendous oculus customer service. This one is obviously a knockoff version of that but waaay less cost. The specs are also a little better. Battery life is advertised as boosted to 6 hours. I haven’t set a timer, but I can definitively say if it’s not 6 hours it’s close enough to where it’s not noticeable. A few nights ago we had people over, had a few adult beverages and played. I estimated we started about 5 pm and the headset died about 1030pm. Not to mention we were having a good ol time so we probably weren’t the most careful or gentle when passing the headset back and forth, removing and putting on etc etc and the strap stood up better than expected. Went to a family gathering last night and one of the kids brought his oculus with the elite strap so I checked it out compared to mine. I’ll tell you this.. if the meta elite and the aubika were side by side I’d pick the aubika just on the eye test alone. Seems a lot sturdier. Easy installation, sturdy hard plastic material and a dial in back to loosen/tighten. Very comfortable on the back of the head with the sturdy rubber “head cup” I guess you could call it haha, huuuuge upgrade from the stock strap. Long story short, this is proof there’s other options out there besides the Meta elite, Bobo and kiwi. I feel like I found a hidden gem with the Aubika. 40% cheaper than the Meta with longer battery life and made from sturdier material. Don’t call it a knock off because it’s actually better than what they’re imitating if you ask me. You will not regret this purchase and you can talk smack to the people who spend more money on lower quality hahaha A+ product for this guy.

Comfortable Headset addition. I very much enjoy this extended battery and turn-knob headset adjustment. The Fit is very comfortable and stays secure while playing the activity games such as Beat Saber, Anshar 2 Hyperdrive and a boxing exercise. My only suggestion, (from a friend who has this headset, and why I purchased this item), is to leave it on at all times. The snap part that clicks to the Oculus will start to wear by removing and on and off multiple times. Also get into the habit of raising the VR Oculus at the eye piece verses lifting this headset at the battery to limit excessive strain at the Snap connection point., noted above, to limit additional wear. My friend's headset still works great as a Battery extender, but he had to invent an alternate Snap connection point and the fit is interestingly loose. This is amazing, and for the price it's worth it. I honestly haven't used my headset in a few weeks but every time I have, it's such a snug fit all because the head strap. it hugs the back of your head perfectly, and the charging is awesome. You can even charge your oculus and the head strap simultaneously so it's like you're charging 2x as fast. Recommend to all of you!

This thing was alright when I first got it, and it worked. But like a fool, the dial fell out and I didn't have it replaced. Today I pulled my HMD out of storage and I realized, the dial is gone. Without that dial, you can't move the straps in and out. So I had little other choice, and I had to buy a new strap. Battery life on this thing is great, it outlives the standard Quest 2 battery by a lot, so if you want to go longer than a couple of hours, it'll get you there. The strap bending picture is a load of hogwash though, if you try to bend the strap like that, it will most definitely snap like any other rigid plastic product. This thing is sturdy, it's reliable (so long as your dial isn't broken!), and it's pretty comfortable, especially compared to the standard Quest 2 strap.

Side plastic are very fragile. Less than 4 month and and cracks appeared. 6 months, one side starts breaking one at a time. Fixed it with plastic welder and zigzag pins and glue several times and always at a new spot!! The only PRO I can give is the battery capacity is excellent. Even after hours of playing and recharging. Gives at least 1h-1h45 more time on Quest 2. Depends what usage. My kids playing Monkey Tag gets approximately 2.5-3hrs game playing including Quest internal battery.

It works great, 2-1/2 extra hours of use on the headset. But... it doesn't fit as well as I had hoped. Don't get me wrong, it is very comfortable, but the strap at the back keeps my head forward a bit when I sit back and watch a movie. Just feels awkward, for everything else it's great.

Love this head strap/battery for my quest 2 from AUBIKA. Was the first mod I bought for the headset and I don't regret it at all. This is much more comfortable than the original strap and it helps keep the headset in place while moving around playing VR games. It also helps give some weight to the back of your head, so that the headset isn't so front heavy and puts less pressure on your forehead. Love being able to turn the rear dial and setting it exactly to as tightly as I want it to my head. If I am just sitting down and doing light VR I will leave it a bit looser on my head. But if I am moving around a lot, I have the option to have it tighter in just a turn or two of the dial, keeping the headset exactly where I want it. No needing to stop everything to try and adjust some straps. I also absolutely love the extra battery power. I can now play for so long without having to keep checking on the batter power. The headset can easily last over 4 hours with a full charge on both the headset and battery bank built into this head strap. Just charge it up and plug it into the headset with the included cable and you are playing for many hours at a time. There is also a led power gauge on the head strap that can tell you if you need to charge it which is really nice. This head strap is basically a must buy when getting a quest 2. The only thing you will regret is not getting one sooner. It is that good.
