Some of the reviews mentioned that the zip closure was very hard, but I got them anyway, thinking "it can't be that bad". And at first it wasn't! I was thrilled the first few uses, as the bags were hip (for my kids), and I had the great feeling of doing something good for the environment. However, as I washed them (either by hand or in the dishwasher), the zip closure became more and more difficult to close, to the point where I had to send the kids with an open bag to school. Finally, I ended up throwing them out, as the time I was spending trying to close them was ridiculous. So yeah, believe the reviews that say they are difficult to close. In short, great idea of a product, super easy to clean, as you can decide whether you wash by hand or in the dishwasher, but due to their closure issue, this is not a durable item, and I would not recommend it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Greatest Thing Since Sliced Bread *by C***M on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on 19 October 2017* I'm OBSESSSED with these bags! I wash them in the top shelf of my dishwasher - yes, a hot wash - and store food in them in a deep freezer. They're just as handy for snacks as Ziploc bags but they offer a slightly thicker casing - READ: more puncture-resistant. They're super cute, eco-friendly and easier to fill than Ziploc bags because they stand upright.
