Also, before an oil change, I put a pint in the oil and drive it a couple of times and then I drain out the oil over night, pull all the spark plugs and dump about a shot in each hole and in the carburetor, this cleans the piston rings as it seeps through them over nigh, soak the plug tips in Marvel overnight. Before replacing the plugs add new oil, cover the holes with a rag and turn it over a couple of times to make sure the cylinders are empty. Start it up check for leaks and take it out and drive it hard, it will smoke till the marvel burns off.
