Review: 🏅Amazing & I added some tips too!🏅 - This is the best percolator since my 2008 & 2010 Cuisinart ones that I loved so much & used extra for tea as I was doing catering & cooking classes at the time. But I burned through those & was just making it on stove- but then needed 1 fast because I could no longer do that due to a stroke & nerve damage. I looked at the CRAZY prices of all of the percolators out there & then found this. It was an unused open box special & so I tried it because of the low price & it being ALL stainless steel. It brews an amazing cup of coffee & it is still great cold or reheated! It takes about 10-12min to fully brew and the base stays hot for 2.5hrs afterwards. The blue light shows when ready & it has a red light to show brewing. The inside of percolator is marked from 4 cups to 12 cups on the inside by the handle & so is the basket to ensure the right base amount standard pre-ground coffee from store. Im super stingy with my 5 stars & this definitely makes the cut!! I found if I wait about 3min after the blue light comes on then the whole pot is a little stronger. But if I pour right away I get an okay cup and the rest is much stronger. Also if you grind the coffee beans at time of brewing then you can reduce the amount of grounds by a few teaspoons too! The different strengths of beans and various roasts can be adjusted too. But I do recommend each time a new bean style/flavor is bought to stick with their basic markings before adjusting to taste! 👍I also purchased the filters for it and they were $6 for 350. Those keep the holes from becoming clogged & having to spend time cleaning out the basket. Those actually save how much grounds I need to put in because you get a better brew. The filters are also nontoxic & non bleached plus fully compostable! Highly recommended for those who have disabilities or are on the go a lot! The filters is pre cut & half the thickness of a coffee filter- they work best if you rinse the basket out well & then place directly into the wet basket! Let the filter absorb the water in the basket for about 3seconds & then add your coffee or tea leaves; then drop the basket into pot with pole inside.
Review: Problematic with no useful resolution. - Don’t waste your time buying something that has repeated problems that can hurt someone! I am no longer a fan of this brand or their customer service! This morning while brewing a pot of coffee, the clear knob on the lid blew off of the pot and hot coffee was spraying on my upper cabinets and wall. I’m lucky that no one was burned by the coffee spraying out! I called customer service who could only offer replacement parts. I Informed the customer service rep that I would not trust replacement parts or another coffee pot from Elite Gourmet after reading countless reviews of the same issue. I simply wanted my money back. I was told that they can’t offer a refund. I then asked to speak to her supervisor and I was told that she didn’t have one! The rep told me she would e mail me a form to fill out. That was the best she could do. I loved my coffee pot until this happened. Not only did I buy mine, purchased two others as gifts and I’ve told several other friends about my percolator, and sent them the link so they could also enjoy the same coffee experience. I after this experience, I will buy myself a West Bend Coffee Pot and move on!

**Q: How come the coffee is so weak?**
A: Oh for Pete’s sake, add more coffee ground!

**Q: Is the percolating coffee visible in the glass bulb at the top of the percolator?**
A: It is not glass, but a hard acrylic and to the person who said it doesn't keep coffee warm they didn't read the simple instructions to show you how. After you pour the first cup put the pot back on the base and press the button. It will turn to blue and keep the coffee hot for 30 mins. There is no limit to how many times you can do this. I LOVE THIS PERCOLATOR.

**Q: I've used a disc filters for my percolator and no matter if I put 1 or 5 together the coffee grounds still end up in my coffee. What filter is best?**
A: Just a couple thoughts. I do not use a filter and I do get just a bit of sediment at the bottom of the pot but no grounds. I do grind my own coffee at a coarser grind as the manufacturer recommends. I did try a store ground coffee and didn’t find any grounds in the coffee. We really do enjoy the coffee from this “old tech” coffee maker

This is the best percolator since my 2008 & 2010 Cuisinart ones that I loved so much & used extra for tea as I was doing catering & cooking classes at the time. But I burned through those & was just making it on stove- but then needed 1 fast because I could no longer do that due to a stroke & nerve damage. I looked at the CRAZY prices of all of the percolators out there & then found this. It was an unused open box special & so I tried it because of the low price & it being ALL stainless steel. It brews an amazing cup of coffee & it is still great cold or reheated! It takes about 10-12min to fully brew and the base stays hot for 2.5hrs afterwards. The blue light shows when ready & it has a red light to show brewing. The inside of percolator is marked from 4 cups to 12 cups on the inside by the handle & so is the basket to ensure the right base amount standard pre-ground coffee from store. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better, hotter coffee

I have gone from drip, to Keurig, to drip and now back to the percolator my parents used to use. I am loving it! The coffee comes out hotter than any coffee maker I have ever owned. It's also smoother in taste. I am using the same exact coffee grounds I had been using in the drip coffee maker and in the Koerig (using a reusable cup), and the flavor is magnitudes better. Pros: Flavor, high temperature, keeps hot for 2 hours w/auto shutoff, nostalgic feel, takes up less counter space than the drip or Keurig makers did. Cons: You have to hand clean the pot, it does take a little longer to brew, no pouring a cup before the brewing is complete, a little noisy. There is also the common issue that without a disposable filter, you are guaranteed to be sending some coffee grounds down the kitchen sink drain. The list of cons may be longer than the pros, but the pros greatly out weigh the cons for me. I should note that the first maker sent to me did not work. I worked with Amazon and had a replacement sent and had to travel to Staples to return the original. When I say it did not work, I mean that I plugged it in, had water in the maker, hit the power button and there was no lights or heat or brewing. I tried several different working outlets and no change. However, the Amazon return process was as painless as usual. I am currently using the second pot, but I noticed some pitting on the nut at the bottom of the pot, and Elite Product support is sending me a replacement part (I think they mean the pot, and not the nut.)
