Star Wars The Vintage Collection Bo-Katan Kryze from The Mandalorian may be the best 3.75" figure Hasbro's ever made... except it's super tiny, just 3.5" despite the actress playing her being 5' 6", plus her costume has boots; in scale, this figure would be a scant 5' 3" fully costumed. But the figure is otherwise fantastic, doing nearly everything The Black Series version can, looking great doing it. Everything's new here, and the sculpting, deco, articulation and accessories are all outstanding, this is the level of quality of TVC figure that does its best to earn the pricetag. The articulation here is top notch, with rocker ankles for more precise posing, a return to ball-socket hips that are more comfortable to pose, hinged elbows and knees that close past 90 degrees, a dumbbell-jointed head with lots of range, a ball-jointed torso, hinge-and-swivel wrists that tilt up/down for superior pistol poses, and shoulder pads that are separately sculpted to get out of the way of the shoulder articulation. It's really amazing, and it's just awesome how poseable and expressive this figure can get. TVC Bo-Katan comes with a swappable helmeted head using a ball joint, this may be controversial way to do it but it ensures the helmet scales well to the figure without having to get oversized to accommodate plastic hair. She's also got a removable jetpack, and twin blasters that fit in her hip holsters. Removing the jetpack does leave a large hole in her back, the helmet's rangefinder is immovable, and the blasters are very flexible, but for this figure I have found these are all easy to forgive when everything else works so well. The decoration - both paint and plastic color choices - hit the right marks. The figure feels like it's dirty and worn and lived-in without needing a ton of expensive paint applications to get it there, only the chest armor and the helmet get noticeable weathering but the rest of the figure feels like a perfect fit to that. Honestly, the only thing keeping this figure from being an "A+" instead of merely an "A" in my book is the size, and the figure's good enough that I'll forgive it for the most part.
