Buy a set of XLR's instead.
i don't like these plugs. the soldering did not go well at all. the plastic melted, the pins went all the way through the black plastic pin holder piece. the pins aren't hollow, so you can't push the wire into them and then solder them. very, very frustrating. the black plastic piece that holds the pins should be a high temperature material (so it doesn't melt!) even with flux i couldn't get solder to stick to these pins at all. now i have to order something else to make up a 3-pin cable. not happy at all.

Not Very Robust
The connectors generally work. I had a problem, however, with one that would only make intermittent connection. The male and female parts also do not fit together securely and can be readily pulled apart. To have more reliability, I ended up replacing them with different connectors.

Hard to solder male pins. Insert plastic melts.
Male connector pins hard to solder. Wire cup on the pins is too shallow. When enough heat is applied to allow solder to flow the plastic insert holding pins gets soft and the pin moves making the connector pins out of alignment. For me, sadly unusable.

Imposisble to use
I had to rip apart the plastic case to separate the components, they even once I could get to the inside where the pins were at they were so short that soldering to them melted the plastic and made the entier thing a waste of money. DO NOT BUY... you will be sorry.

Unusable, impossible to solder
The solder side of the pins are too shallow to get wire in to solder. If you try alternative methods the plastic melts way to quickly. I bought a 3 pack, tried all three, no success at all. Don't buy these

Difficult soldering. Plastic melt too quickly.
Very low quality product. The solder does not take, and to try to make it take, then the pin gets too hot and the plastic melts. These problems have been solved in the US/EU for decades... We are going backwards.

basically impossible to solder
the pins are just straight through from one side to another with no hole or catch so the connection is going to be hard to make and brittle if you can. Waisted one when the plastic started to melt too.

Unusable
Unfortunately, the pins will move as soon as they are heated with a soldering iron.
