The importance of daily toothbrushing. Veterinary dental associations recommend that pet owners follow this plan in order to enhance the pet’s oral health. Take your pet to the veterinarian for a dental exam. Don’t wait for his annual check-up if you suspect a problem. Your veterinarian may recommend dental care at the hospital including removal of plaque and tartar, and may suggest a dental care program at home. Begin a dental care program at home. Plaque formation starts within 12 hrs of a thorough dental cleaning, which is why dental cleaning at home is necessary. This is where the Petosan brush plays a major role. Petosan has been developed by a team of Scandinavian dentists, veterinarians and leading edge toothbrush manufacturer. Its innovative design has proved to be particularly user-friendly and effective, and due to its two brush segments in angular relationship, the Petosan toothbrush simplifies brushing and enables more pet owners to clean their pet?s teeth and thereby improving their oral hygiene. The Petosan Pet Toothpaste is designed for those of us who brush every day. It is formulated to be very tasty, helping to make the brushing a positive experience for your dog. The paste contains Pyrophosphates that help control tartar by inhibiting the formation of dental calculus (tartar). Petosan use Hydrated silica, a mild abrasive used for grinding and polishing. It is found as crystals, small and smooth particles which are preferred to avoid tooth wear. Instructions Included In the package. Review: Works great for our Puggle - We have a medium size dog, Buster, a 21 lb Puggle Got this product a week ago and after trying another brand of dog tooth brush and paste, I have to say, my dog prefers this one LoL. First I started with just rubbing a little of the paste on the finger type applicator to get him used to me working in his mouth, and he seemed to like the flavor of the paste, he's pretty picky, so this surprised me. I was going to wait a week before trying the toothbrush but since he didn't mind me using the finger applicator I tried the brush the second day. He was fine with it, I didnt scrub to hard, just kinda massaged his teeth and gums and he did so good. Now I grab his stuff and say, lets brush your teeth and he runs over and jumps on my lap ready to go, he even knows to turn to the other side when its time to switch. I think the main differences are the flavor of the toothpaste and the design of the brush. This brush is firm and v shape, and he likes it. The other brushes would cause a little gum irritation and even bleed sometimes. And the tooth paste isn't offensive to him. Review: I like the tooth brush - I like the tooth brush since it is double sided. I actually bought this since Caesar Milan recommends it. The tooth brush is great for cleaning the teeth. My miniature schnauzer however does not like the toothpaste. I put a little bit of this on my finger and he sniffs it and turns away. But if I put cet poultry flavored toothpaste on my finger he will lick it up. I would continue to use the toothbrush, but will stick to a tooth paste that my pup prefers rather than forcing one he doesn't like.

Clean Teeth
I'v tried a few brushes in the past and got some what frustrated with all of them. So I gave this one a try and it works great. It also helps that it comes with some premium toothpaste and a case, it keeps everything organized. But no matter what it will take a few weeks to get your animal accustomed to brushing, but do a little at a time. I also recommend Plaqclnz gel which you can find on Amazon for around $18.00. [...]

Bad flavor, dog won't eat it.
Dog didn't want to lick the toothpaste, and she is not a picky eater. Maybe they make another tastier flavor. The finger cot toothbrush works well.

Convenient
I got this for my 3 yr old, 15 lb pom mix. He liked the flavor of the toothpaste. We started out with the finger brush to get him used brushing and then moved on to the toothbrush. The double sided brush is very convenient as it allows for the top and bottom teeth at the same time. I like that this kit comes in a carrying case. It make it easy to take with me when we travel and keeps everything in one place. I would note that the toothbrush has to fully dry before it is stored in the closed case since the case is not vented.

Mixed feelings
This does help with the tartar that was building up on my Aussie's teeth. However, it is a bit difficult to use because the brushes have to fit on both sides of his teeth.and he isn't too keen on the whole process.

Perfect finger attachment for needing to clean dog's teeth quickly
Finger attachment makes cleaning quick and more precise. Wish there was such a thing for humans as using a washcloth with brushing is very effective, but too bulky. Haven't mastered the brush yet. I would have purchased without the brush as I only wanted finger cloth and paste. Dog didn't really want the paste. Let her smell and turned nose away so I'm not sure if "chicken flavor" is prominant nor inviting.

Two Stars
This was too large for my dogs mouth. The cleaning cloth worked well though.
