How do I switch it to Amateur frequencies?

This is a GMRS only radio. It will not change to the amateur frequencies. There are other radios from QYT as well as B-tech that will allow access to amateur bands as well as GMRS frequencies. However this radios at not FCC approved for use on FRS and GMRS frequencies

Which Antenna does it use?

A Dual Band Antenna Patriot or Cushcraft. Some of the GMRS channels have been blocked in this model.

what would i buy to plug this in to an AC adapter at home instead of vehicle?

Will need to buy a power converter. 12 volt DC to 110/120 volt aC
