Review: Great gaskets for 1st generation CRVs. - I did the valve lash adjustment on my 97 and 98 CRVs and used these valve cover gaskets with some high temp RTV silicone on corners and zero oil leaks after. Make sure you clean both mating surfaces and get them dry before installing the new gaskets.

This gasket worked great on my 2001 CR-V.

I tried to order this from my local auto-part stores and they didn't want to be bothered putting in a special order. Meanwhile, they are just fine selling me the gasket for $27 and then the grommets for another $18! This set includes the gasket, new grommets (I had one spare), and rubber rings for your spark plugs (if applicable - I didn't need them). Great, high quality, "fresh rubber", and it fit perfectly. MAHLE makes great stuff, and this is no exception. And thanks to Amazon Prime, it was in my mailbox two days later - one day faster than my local auto-part stores.
