I was using it with Win 7. Win 8 is just Win 7 with a cellphone font end and no real start menu (IMO). So try it. First you need to update to the latest firmware. Linksys no longer supports this but I found a link I had which will download the last firmware I know (02/01/2005 ver 6034 apmu08zip) link follows inside ( ) (http://downloads.linksysbycisco.com/downloads/firmware/apmu08.zip). Unzip and then point to the bin file from inside logged in PSUS4. The BIN file is the firmware. The firmware upgrade tool is on the print server itself. You need to login to the print server through the web browser, select the firmware upgrade option and point it to the BIN file. You should have the print server connected directly to your router with a network cable when you do this. Easiest to manually configure using a static IP address from your router. What follows is what I got from Linksys when I 1st configured to use Win7 years ago.Well the PSUS4 Printserver Utility is not Compatible with Windows 7. You need to configure your PSUS4 Manually.Connections : Printer - Printserver (PSUS4) - Router...Make sure your Printer drivers are installed...Press and hold the Reset button of the PrintServer for three seconds and then release it. This will automatically send a diagnostic test page to the printer connected. Look for the IP address on the printed test page. If you are using a Linksys router with a default IP address of 192.168.1.1, the PrintServer should be getting an IP range of 192.168.1.x as well indicating that it is properly obtaining an IP address from the network. In this example, we used 192.168.1.105 as the IP address obtained from the test page.A new window will prompt for a User name and Password.
