The only ingredient that refers to any kind of a nut is that it has palm kernal oil in it. I do not know if that is the same thing or not

Do I need to add anything to these, when melted, to dip strawberries or cookie tips?

Nope, just melt and dip. I would agree that you don't want to add food coloring, it can make the chocolate seize up.
