Then while engine was warm, drained engine oil and left it open for more than 20 minutes to drip clean. Added new engine oil a grade higher than usual authorized service centre oil grade. 1. Mileage has returned back to the value it had when the car was 2-3 years old. Now it is 10 years ( more than 1,00,000 kms). About 45 km increase per full tank. Need to verify over multiple tank fulls! 2. Performance: the engine knocking in wrong gear has reduced noticeably, if not drastically.
