Freestanding 5 Bike Rack

PACKAGING Quality. The product was delivered in a slim, well-reinforced box. Each piece was individually wrapped in thick plastic. I was surprised how light it was at only 35 lbs. each. The quick-release pins to secure the hooks were missing but customer service, described later, helped me ultra fast. ASSEMBLY Ok. Instructions were clear and overall it was easy. There are a lot of screws and washers though. Very light, yet sturdy. Tips: 1. There is a difference between the “upper” and “lower” vertical supports in that the upper has a plastic end cap. At first we didn’t recognize the difference and had challenges with rework later. 2. If you can grab a 10 mm socket bit for your drill you’ll be in heaven and save yourself a ton of tedious ratcheting. 3. You will need one 10 mm socket to screw in and another 10 mm wrench to hold the nut while you screw in. 4. Loosely tighten the screws in a particular section until everything is fitting together. USAGE You can easily position the hooks with quick release pins during assembly to best accommodate the spacing for your bikes and change them easily and quickly by removing the pin (not under load of course). We have four bikes so we did that and stowed away the 5th hook. From a practicality perspective it seems 5 bikes would be possible but it would certainly be tight and would probably tangle things up. But I understand people put 6 bikes on here when ordering the 6 hook model. But for us 4 bikes is great and we don’t have to move any other bikes to pull down the one we want. Our bikes are heavy and the rack is stable. It is not for kids though and the manual says that. It takes a little height and strength to lift the bike wheel up onto the hook. My 13 year old can unhook his 10 speed bike in a controlled manner with effort but cannot put it back up. CUSTOMER SERVICE AMAZING. I’ve never experienced better customer service. I emailed them about the missing pins at about 9PM. I had a response within 3 hours. I had the part shipped out the next day and it arrived a couple of days later. Overall I recommend this product and this company.

As a parent in the Midwest, our garage was just overrun with the four family bikes, creating a total mess. I was looking for a solution that wouldn't wobble and could handle everything, and I'm honestly thrilled with this one. Being a home-DIY person, I handled the assembly myself, which took about 1-2 hours. The packaging was great—no damage—and all the parts felt high-quality and were well-organized. They even smartly re-used screw types to avoid confusion. My only critique is with the instructions: They combine the steps for the one-sided and two-sided models, which creates a 'branch' you have to watch out for. Separate instructions would be clearer and a more customer-focused design. Once assembled, this rack is surprisingly stable. It holds all four of our family bikes (a mix of adult and kid sizes) with absolutely no wobble. It has significantly reduced the clutter and made our garage so much more neat and tidy. It's a huge win. The description says it could hold 5, but I think it's perfect for 4. With 5, you'd be fighting tangled pedals and handlebars. The only real-world challenge is that lifting a heavy bike onto the high hook isn't easy; it's almost impossible for our kids. But that's just the nature of a vertical rack, not a flaw in this one. If I had one wish, it would be for a few side hooks for helmets, but that's a minor thing. Bottom Line: This is a high-quality, sturdy rack that totally solved our garage clutter. I'd absolutely recommend it for any family with 4 bikes.

Everything went together fine with the exception of the top bar. It was twisted a tad so the washer would not go onto the bolt. I went and got a smaller washer from my stash so no harm. The hooks that come with the rack will not fit a fat tire bike so I have ordered the 4.5 inch hooks separate. We shall see. Also, I was a washer short (even with not being able to use one), again no harm... I used one of my own. Sturdy rack, looks good. Would recommend.

This is a high quality product. It is well designed and sturdy. Assembly takes a while (80 bolts) but is not hard and the directions are clear. The precision / fit in terms of holes lining up, bolts/nuts/washers, levelness, nothing too loose - nothing too tight, etc. is exceptional for a consumer-assembled product. And it works! - holds bikes securely and much more organized than alternatives or simply kickstanding them in a cluster in the garage. I love this rack. A very solid value at < $300. Note - it does work best with 4 bikes; 5 is doable but very tight and not for the noodle-armed. If you are impatient, definitely less than burly, or simply will be unracking and reracking bikes frequently, limit it to 4.

Thia rack is exactly what I expected. It is great quality. It was packed well. The instructions were clear and it is easy to assemble. It took me about 30 min. I like how it saves floor space. It takes about 1/2 the amount of space as having the bikes on the floor, in stands. This is sold as a 5 bike rack. While you CAN fit 5 bikes on it, as you can see in the pictures and video, I would not call it easy. I have 1 large 29er MTB, 1 Medium 27.5 MTB, 1-24" MTB, 1 small adult road bike and 1-24" road bike. I do not see how you would fit 4 adult bikes on the rack. I will likely use it as a 4 bike rack. Unless I Figure out a better way to get them to "nest" while keeping it "easy" to put them on and take them off. The space saving function is a trade of for how hard it is to hang the bikes in the rack. I bet my wife will struggle a bit getting her bike up there. The top of the rack is just under 6' 9". If I hang hers on the outside the rack instead of the middle she might be able to do it. Overall happy with the rack and it is exactly what I expected.

You definitely have to hang them alternately (up and down). My wife and kids struggle to take them on and off. Due to the different lengths of the bikes, they will be at different heights so there will always be a compromise, thus "lifting" will be required. Beach cruisers take up a LOT of room. On a positive note, I was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy it was.

I'll start with my negative experience - I bought this used through Amazon- they alone shoulder the blame. Half the parts were missing and half the parts received were damaged & of course arrived late... not too happy. Contacted "seller", Store Your Board and they TOTALLY stepped up and took over. I fixed what Amazons delivery bent and they sent me the $180+ in missing parts at no charge to me (hopefully they charge amazon) even though they had zero to do with the sale. Now thats what I call a company that cares! Absolutely made a customer for life, I will always look for their products first and recommend. The rack itself - cleared up some very crowded space for me, still crowded but I just have too much crap in a small space. Easy to put together, I lost the instructions and still got it. Albeit lots of uninstall and reinstalling but thats my fault! Thank u SYB! Customer for life!

I had this one saved on my Wish List for a while, then July Prime Day hit and pulled the trigger. Great Quality Easy to Setup/build Lightweight so it can be moved easily and very stable.

This was delivered quickly, holds my 3 bikes perfectly and saves a lot of space I've used 2 out of the 5 hooks to hang my helmets on the side bars Very sturdy and quite easy to assemble. But you will need a 10mm rachet and 10mm spanner to assemble (not included) I'd love to know where I can purchase more of the hooks and quick release pins so I can hook my bags on the other side bar ?! 10/10 from me

Good solution for storing 5 adult bicycles in a small space within an apartment. All 5 large and medium bicycles fit, the rack is sturdy and suits our needs. Dimensions are accurate. Assembly was straightforward. Very happy with the purchase.

Good storage solution without drilling into wall or ceiling. Found it solid and good for hanging 4 bikes. Would recommend.

Having read some other reviews I was rather nervous about what this would be like, but apart from the price I can't really fault it. Instructions were clear enough. The nuts bolts and washers were good - nylox locking nuts are provided so the thread deliberately doesn't go right through and that is why you must have 2 spanners or socket wrenches to assemble it - I used a spanner and an electric impact wrench which speeded things up a lot. The hook suspends the bikes by the wheel rims - not the spokes as some have suggested; you can rotate the wheel so that the hook is not in contact with any spokes if this concerns you. The fixing brackets at the end of the top rail were a little bent and out of line but the bolts fitted easily and pulled everything straight! All other parts were perfect and the drilling was all accurate. Working alone and slowly it took me less than 90 minutes to assemble it. I have fitted all 5 hooks and currently have 4 adult bikes (MTBs and flat bar tourers) on it and I'm sure there's room for a fifth one. They are tightly packed in alternating handlebar up/down formation and it won't be easy getting the middle ones out! I was surprised at the floor area this occupied because of the spread of the bikes: from the wall out to the saddles is about 1.4 metres, and the width needed (including pedals and bars that overhang the edges of this stand ) is about 1.8m - so you don't gain a huge amount of extra floor space by using this. Overall, I'm pleased I bought this stand - it does what it claims, is easy to assemble and of good quality.
