It’s a super long pole that has sections so you can make it work in a lot of situations.The mechanism is incredibly easy to use. I and multiple of my friends I throw with have used it and no one has any issues with it.It’s the best disc retrieval item I’ve used. Waaaay better than the golden retriever.Only downside is due to the length it’s only going to fit in certain bags.I have the Innova hero backpack and I put it in one of the side pockets and it sticks up. I bring it on every round regardless; I’ve used it to grab branches & shake discs down in addition to water retrieval. The pole is nice for moving tall grass aside while searching for lost discs. I use it for everything related to disc retrieval. WELL worth the $$.One quick tip; be sure and tighten the bungie before retrieving the first time; I needed to removed about 12-14” to get mine tight (but not too tight) so that there is tension on the bungie when you apply the weight of a disc. Just slide the end stopper out; untie; trim (10-14” id say); re-tie, then burn ends so they don’t unravel. You may need to re-tighten again during the course of its use. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I need to buy the inventor a six pack and bottle of whiskey. *by P***N on November 26, 2017* Rescued 12 discs at Trojan Disc Golf Course during Winter Golf in one day (not all mine). Worth its weight in gold if you play a lot of water hazards. Stayed dry. One word of caution, make sure the head is screwed on tight and check it often. I used some masking tape on the threads to tighten up the head. It tends to unwind. Ask me how I know.... Update: One big drawback about not having locking sections on the pole, if you clamp it down on a branch or stem, the sections pull apart and you have to pull the gator back with sheer force and hope that the bungie doesn't snap. I've been looking for a painter's extension so that isn't a problem anymore. I wished the sections of the poles could be secured. It's really the only flaw of this tool.
