The clamps are slotted so in case of the 8in FireTab the power plugs in through the slot after clamping. They do just the job for when you’re watching stuff on your iPad in bed and they have a great range of angles. However, I’ve deducted one star because, if you use them every day like I do, they have a shelf life and one of the components will usually snap eventually. This is the 3rd one I’ve had in the last 3 years.
