Can you use this arrestor on the Ham Bands above 10 Meters (UHF & VHF) without screwing up the SWR?

Hi, when i was building my base setup for my house, they suggested i get one, but have my swr hooked up to check for any surges, for a better answer contact ham radio outlet,www.hamradio.com, they can get all the answers for you, and who to contact for more info.

can this lightning arrestor make your swr reading go higher or will it make a big difference?

It should make no difference. I have one installed and does not affect my VSWR. It is a straight through. A loose connection would affect the VSWR.

What type of wire do I use to ground it

I used a single strand of 10 gauge copper wire.

What is the second screw for? Is it for mounting?
